Good stuff, more than a good enough back up choice.

Another great character to have around the place, hardworking keeper who i thought was more than good enough when he played for us in that conference season, his clean sheet ratio is superb. Probably will be 3rd choice for the new season, but the majority of league 1 clubs have 3 senior keepers, and with the loan window changes, Mildy, Puddy and the new keeper can stay together as a unit for the whole season. I'm liking these saturday & sunday announcements, the club becoming more modern every day.

I'm surprised he signed, although I guess its security. I'd look to loan him out, he's still played virtually no League football in his career.

Hopefully this means we can get a younger 1st choice keeper to race with Mildy for the GK spot, and Puddy staying behind as backup.

my own opinion is that puddy gosling and liam lawrence would have been released without dc"s stated promise of contracts for promotion but i stll think it was a brilliant motivating tool to use and helped us get promotion.

I am more surprised we let Preston go but keep Puddy. I thought that Preston woukd have been the 3rd choice but young option. This is why I am not a football manager. Now is the time to show the trust in DC. I never thought I woukd trust him if honest but he's made me eat my words of criticism

He strikes me as a good character and a good person to have in a harmonised squad.
That said, I wouldn't be comfortable to see him in the starting line-up at League Two level, let alone League One. His performances were at best shaky at Conference level.
Good luck to him though.

Seems like decent-back up to have a round than having an untested youngster on the bench who can go on loan
do we have a 1st year pro keeper signed up from the youths?
