All 3 teams who finished just outside auto promotion lost first legs Something in that It's oft considered favourable to play the home leg second. I fear for Wimbledon that away at Accrington they will conceed, after which Stanley look favourites at home.

Accrington must HATE the 92nd minute at the moment! I agree, and I think that john Coleman must be furious to have seen it happen. Taking wimbledon back to the Crown goalless would have been a good result.

Similar to our relegation season when our points total would have kept us up comfortably any other season.

He should try getting relegated out of the League on goal difference with 50 points.
This season that would get you an 18th place finish.

I said at 4.45 last Saturday, whoever doesn't go up now is screwed in the play offs.

If the season was based on first 89 minutes we wouldn't have been in the play offs!! Then again if it ends in feb city are relegated. Shows why we deserved to go up and accy didn't. Keep going to the end john.

It's no good looking back at the past for points comparisons. John Coleman is experienced enough to know that leagues, for several reasons, vary in strength from year to year. Many argue that the Premier is weaker this year, and teams under-performing have allowed a side playing as a unit like Leicester to come through - and hurrah for that. Stating the obvious, no team deserves to get promoted or become champions unless they have amassed the required points, and maybe goal difference for that season.
Mind you I would like to see the Accies go up. Going to Wembley later to cheer on Grimsby and/or boo the veggies.

I don't care whether Accrington go up, I did care about Wimbledon yesterday though, I needed them to for the 5th leg of a Super Yankee

Having watched the game it was the most uninspiring game of football, both their games appear to be based on stopping the other team playing rather than being creative, an enormous amount of hoof ball was played. The pitch wasn't very good either so didn't encourage teams to keep it on the floor.

He has a point about the timing of the match though!

He has a point about the timing of the match though! To be honest he has moaned about so much the law of averages suggest one point had to be valid. The pitch was shocking but he didn't go there as he knew his own pitch is a mess.
They could have stayed overnight, but I agree with the final not for another 2 weeks they could easily have spaced the games out. The power of Sky eh!

Ummmm
Maybe if his bloke hadn't headed against the crossbar from 2 yards out when totally unmarked with 1 minute to go they would all be sat in Vegas reading about how Rovers got on against AFC?
