Assume what you like Dave, most other people do on this forum with little fact to back up that assumption. So just to clarify, you're saying the BoD will either i) run the club into the ground sporting-wise, or ii) run the club into the ground financially or iii) will suddenly figure out how to run this massively supported sports team at a profit or iv) have a secret plan to sell the biggest asset to someone else, or v)...I lose track....what should I be assuming? I refer you to my previous answer.

Sorry Bamber you are confusing the market value of the land with the value that a business could get from using that land. If manure relocate to another site old Trafford only has a land value. You may as well say the mem site is only worth x but IF there is gold under it then it's worth 100 x. I don't feel confused Oldie can't understand why a FC operating at either a profit or loss can affect the value of the premises / land that they operate from. It's no different to Sainsbury's valuing a piece of land in BS7 at a much higher price than 1883 Ltd value it, and at a much higher price than a piece of land adjacent to a local university. Ah I get the worse rovers are performing the more value the land has to Sainsburys. Um nope the logic is failing me. The fact is the land that comprises the mem site is worth what Sainsburys are willing to pay, their valuation is not affected by what the site is used for now or what division rovers play in remember they are paying for vacant possession. Of course if the current contract is watertight they may choose to hope rovers go into liquidation & deal with the liquidators & offer a price below what the site is worth to them. But of course a lot of people could then make an offer.

I think that's where your logic is failing you.

If we decided ourselves to not go ahead with the ground then I really would start questioning why I support the club. I personally think this is a ridiculous thread and can't see this ever happening. lots of new grounds have been built in recent years with very mixed results,so theres no proven link between having a new ground and becoming sucessfull,if rovers were mid table in the championship what would the average gate be? 8,000 maybe? i just think the whole project is a bit disney land

Aren't we all guessing, I'm just able to admit I'm guessing & offering alternative views. Most on here have over inflated opinions of themselves which won't alow them to admit to guessing with their conspiracy theories. Completely agree. Especially Henbury. As for Totend, I do not think he realises the implications of what he was asserting.

:naughty: :naughty: :naughty: fadh You never did get back to us on those "personal reasons" you knew Charlotte Leslie had for helping us out when you spoke to her.
