I keep meaning to ask if anyone knows how this came about ? Was he just grabbed/kidnapped and carried out the ground in a spontaneous moment or was he asked before he got carried away. I believe he had to rearrange his flight home to Jordon, imagine the conversation with his wife, "sorry love, I'll be late home the lads just carried me several miles shoulder high down the main road in Bristol to the pub" !! At least he's got actual evidence to corroborate his tale

I've got a feeling someone messaged him on Twitter asking him if we get promoted will he be joining in the celebrations on Gloucester Rd, then Wael replied, come and get me after the game, So they did!

I know at the end of a previous game he went down the local pizza house after some fans asked him if he would like to join them after the game which he did so there is a precedent for him doing something similar.

Let me establish the true events as I was actually there.
I came out of ground @7, saw that Gloucester Rd was shut, looked behind and saw Wael taking an evening stroll towards me as Filton Avenue joined Gloucester Road.
A couple of us went over and had a chat (no confidentiality clauses required) and carried on down Glos Road. I remember thanking him for "embracing the values of the Club". More joined (more selfies) and then someone offered to put him on shoulders. The best part of the experience was seeing the collective wave of euphoria as he was spotted being carried down the road towards the Vic.
You had to be there to feel the euphoria. More importantly, it as an experience that he will never forget. It was akin to a successful Roman general returning to Rome after triumphing in Gaul (DYOR).
BTW Dave Nash (aka Nashy) - you took some video footage of this that I would like to see....please

The group of 5 from South Wales who I travel over with for every home game had agreed if we went up automatically we would stop for a celebration curry in Newport (we did this after the play off final last year). Two of us discussed catching the train home (we share one car) but having already agreed to go for the curry we decided to finish the day off together so we missed the after match celebrations on Gloucester Road. If there is any more video out there of the evening I'd love to see it. I'm still elated

I can't remember exactly were it was, having waded through so many photos, videos and post over the past week, but I do recall someone commenting somewhere that they were in The Clubhouse and asked Wael if he would like to pop down to The Vic for a pint and he agreed. Not sure he realised exactly what that would entail when he said yes!

Walking down glos Rd after rover's promotion with Jordan's thighs wrapped around your head. Superb.
Sorry, I'm bored.

I was in the SC bar, but the quieter one and probably missed it. Damn. Wael failed to make an appearance at the famous pre-match pub at Wycombe - the mark of a true gent.
