Best odds you can get on an Accy / Oxford double are 14/15 on. So Bookies are saying there is 'almost' an evens chance of them both winning. Or should we win there is 'almost' an evens chance of us going up automatically. I feel the Bookies are a little more optimistic than most of us. Anyway - I stuck my £52 (proceeds from a previous £20 on a Accy / Oxford double) at 14/15 on. So I'm either £98.53 up - or the Gas go up automatically and I lose £20. Praying I lose £20. UTG.

[br I also hope you lose! Smart to get some cash if we don't though.

Well if we don't go up automatically at least you'll have some money to pay towards the play off games, well done

What if we all lose or draw? £20 down and no promotion. ?

I bet a considerable amount of money on rovers getting relegated 2 years ago and won a fair few quid when they got promoted I won a bit last weekend on a accy Oxford double gonna lump a load on us accy Oxford treble hope I lose not that worried if I do as its sky bets money I'm playing with if it comes up all in on us winning the playoffs

Each to their own and all that but am I the only one that finds it odd supporters betting against their own team? I see the thought process but I just could not bring myself to do it.

Not odd mate I watched the home game against Torquay and the absolute dross that we produced convinced me that we were doomed I looked up the odds on us being relegated 9/2 you don't look a gift horse in a the mouth

Accy may well slip up, I hear they may actually get a decent crowd for once so that will add to the pressure hopefully!!
Also the bets are not against our own team, they are backing our rivals to win to ease the pain if we don't get auto's. If a gashead bet on the daggers to win that would be a different story.

In fact the Gas were 10-1 to get relegated before the Mansfield game - 10-1! But even I couldn't pull the trigger on that one. A £10 bet would just about have paid for the drowning my sorrows over the next couple of days... weeks... months...

I`m not saying it`s wrong or criticising anybody for doing it, it`s just that I couldn`t. Anyway it`s all irrelevant, we will never be that bad again, #premiershipherewecome

It would have a kind of 'blood money' feel to it for me and I couldn't do it either, but I know that people profit legally and morally every day from things that just aren't my cup of tea and so I don't have a problem with other gasheads having done it. We all know that there was a lot wrong with our set-up just before we got relegated so it's not as if profiting from a relegation bet demonstrated a breach of a faith that should have been unshakeable.

Just to clarify rovers let me down about 4 times that season for quite a lot of money that day against Torquay all I needed was a home win for a 5 fold accumulator paying over 1 k bit of a heated moment and was so pissed off with them anyway the last few weeks had a couple of good wins helped by rovers home form in fact sat in the canaries typing this on a break paid for out of my winnings and had Liverpool not capitulated twice in recent weeks I'd be a lot better off anyway see you all Saturday utg

I feel for you KP, insurance can be a killer, mine has shot up recently because of a DVT. My father in law had Polio - it was crazy mad prices. Having said that I am in Amsterdam over the weekend for my future son-in-laws stag do so hopefully results will make the weekend even more special.

Thanks TG, I am reconciled to it now and we are looking at having a couple of long weekend city breaks. I just need to stick to EU countries and try to make sure that I know I can get care if necessary. I know it could be seen as irresponsible but sometimes you just have to do things and not worry about it. I never thought I would be envious of others but I have been a bit green when I hear others holiday stories and photos. None of us ever think these rare diseases will affect us. Anyway, I am very much looking forward to Saturday and am doing everything I can to ensure I am ok for that. I see so many old faces now coming back and they all say " but you look fine" lol. I am lucky in that the group I go with just don't allow me to go on about illness. It's the one day where I can really feel like nothing is wrong and its why I look forward to it so much. Say WE ARE GOING UP SAY WE ARE GOING UP !
