So having no cash until after pay day has meant I am after a ticket for the D&R game.
First post of many asking the same question I am sure but if anyone has a ticket ANYWHERE in the ground please let me know.
Thanks.

I am a season ticket holder, north enclosure, Blackthorn, and I can't go to the D&r game.iIts the last ticket in my book and I can tear it out and post it to needy soul. The only proviso is that it's a " concession" ticket, meaning you have to look old to use it !, pm me and I will post it.

There was never this problem on a cold November Tuesday vs Stevenage....... Or even against Exeter, which strangely wasn't sold out despite the Dag N Red being so weeks prior. Let's hope the new stadium can convert the part timers into full time supporters.

Let's hope the new stadium can convert the part timers into full time supporters. There are a few reasons for part timers: Some fell out of love with the Gas and have found Rovers again. The earlier generations who supported the club are returning. NH has gone, this includes bans and their friends. Though I still believe he was a fan. We stand a chance of going up - glory hunters, though this is questionable as the reason is the excitement around the club rather than L1 footy. The atmosphere is better, it's not been overly bad earlier in the season. Some come along with their mates who are buzzing (you know what I mean.) Some are finding Rovers for the first time, with the new money, promotion push etc. Financial: entry, travel, food and beer adds up. I am not sure a new stadium will hold most of these for long, unless the success on the field continues.

True, I guess if only 6-7000 turned up everyone would be wondering why it wasn't packed out!

At least the glory hunters could use the blue and white scarves to suddenly support Leicester City as well!

I just don't think anyone who follows Rovers can be called a glory hunter. Unfortunately we have those who feel they are better fans than others and they are entitled to their opinion but to follow a team that has been so success starved is no glory hunters thing. We just have people who have had their hopes reignited and many who just would not come back whilst we had the board that are now gone. Keeping them coming will mean having entertaining football and hopefully being relatively successful on the pitch. I am loving seeing the old and familiar faces back at games

Perhaps they're not glory hunters in the true sense of the meaning.
Perhaps they weren't there when we were in our hole?
...maybe the correct term is gloryhole hunters?!

I've no problem at all with part-timers, obviously, as I am one nowadays. Like a wally I was a season ticket holder when EVERYTHING WAS AWFUL, and now so much is so much better I am unable to go.
Success breeds success, and being excited by the football, potential, and being treated decently, will bring gasheads home, not before time.
Of course it's a real shame for regular supporters being unable to get a ticket. I'm sorry to each of them.
Hopefully the regular attenders, who are after all the soul of the club, including all of lower incomes can save up for season tickets, but at least we have future prospects for higher capacity.
Don't be too hard on quiet newbies you see. We need them. I didn't find my voice for a while when I was new to football. Please encourage newbies and returners to get involved. And for God's sake, enjoy it.

There are so many variables that there is no sense to it and we should always welcome new support and welcome back old support. We're supposed to be the family club after all. It was the gallows humour and humour in general that had me hooked at an early age. Let's not lose that now guys

I see it as people turning up to offer support when we need it most, its all money and publicity for the club which can only be a good thing.
As I said before on this thread, if only the core 5-6k turned up we'd be wondering wtf was going on!
I was more nervous before the Wembley game but that was only because there wasn't anything to fall back on.

A certain director, who looks very similar to a character in only fools and horses, was conspicuous by his not being there when we were in Bath. I didn't turn up for every game myself but I did go as often as I could. At least I pay to get in

I think a lot of people would like to attend more games, I know I certainly would.
Personally, I am looking forward to the time in my life when I will have enough free time to enable me to get a season ticket. The vision of going to every home game with my son is one that will be amazing. I love the feeling of matchday, especially when actually going to the game.
The dedicated fans that go to every game, home and away are simply amazing. No question about that.
I also think that it is not helpful to use the label "part time supporter". If we are going to fill our new 20K stadium, then a significant portion of that attendance will be fans that do not go to every game. We will also need to attract people that are not even gasheads, students for example may be based in Bristol and come along to watch some football.
I am just glad that the Mem has been selling out recently, or close to selling out. It is amazing and we should welcome each end every one of the new supporters. You never know, they might turn the occasional game per season into 5-10 games.

I had a weird conversation this morning. I get to do a fair bit of entertaining in my job, and I will be taking some customers to the Cup Final this year. I called one of the blokes I wanted to take and the call went as follows.
'Do you fancy coming to the Cup Final in a couple of weeks, go up on the train, few beers etc., stay overnight if we prefer'
'You have tickets do you?'
'Yes'
'Can you get tickets for the Dagenham game on Saturday?'
'No, a few people have asked me, there's nothing about'
'Okay, I'll let you know about the cup final, but if you get any tickets for the Dagenham game I would love to come'
