I figured that this would come up on the forum again given today's news, so wanted to make clear exactly what has happened, and how this should be discussed. The statement from Lady Justice Hallett does it well:

I thought I should emphasise to forum users that this is now a live case once more, with all the reporting restrictions in place as usual. Any content which could be deemed prejudicial to a trial will be removed, which includes aspersions as to the character or identity of the alleged victim.
Ched Evans is now innocent until proven guilty, and I'm sure we'll find out in due course exactly what the next steps are in regard to any future trial. I'm happy to let the jury in that trial make a decision as to his guilt or innocence, so hopefully others will too.
