I don't think the pre-contract has been reported by anyone reputable, but I might be wrong.
Their interest in him has been widely reported and it is correct, he's had quite a lot of talks with them but I've been told by a friend who has spoken to him directly that he hasn't signed anything or decided what he's doing yet.
Of course, he might've fibbed but I don't see how he'd gain anything whatsoever from signing such a deal.

After having worked on the old Evening Post for well over 20 years, I totally accept your point about newspapers being ''reputable'' in any way, shape or form. Quite the opposite in fact, in my experience. But they're all we've got it seems.

Hey, good od on you that you managed to handle 20 years there. They call it the Bristol post now but it really is a poor facsimile of the old evening post and then we had the pink un & green un. I used to love running to the newsagent to get the green un after we came back from Eastville
