BBC has new and more detailed "Top Scorers" statistics. Matty Taylor's "minutes per goal" of 130mins <See Here> is the same as: Harry Kane (Spurs) <See Here>Andre Gray (Burnley) <See Here>Nicky Ajose (Swindon) <See Here>And better than Jamie Vardy's!! Lies, Dam lies and Statistics comes to mind but...based on that, we have the makings a top class striker on our hands!

Certainly any fears of stepping up a level have been well and truly shot down, literally! Great season Matty!

He`s far from perfect, but if any manager was offered a striker that would get you 20+ goals a season, there wont be many that wouldn't jump at the chance to sign him. A striker is there to score goals.Thats exactly what Matty does in abundance.

If there is any truth in the rumour he has signed a pre-contract with Hearts then we don't "have the makings a top class striker on our hands!".

He has, allegedly, spoken to a few clubs.

No doubt he has developed into a class act for this level. I did doubt that he'd be able to make the step up to league football but I was wrong.

Brizzle, at Newport a guy well over sixty and sat too near us spent the first half shouting abuse at MT. MT could do nothing right. The guy next to said OAP had a word, but it carried on, so the lad moved. Said OAP is by no means unique around the Mem, either.

But you can't tar everyone with the same brush, just because of a few individuals.

The season ticket holder next to me, when Matty missed a chance the game after he got a hatrick, shouted 'that's the closest he's been to the goal in ages'. The season ticket holders in front of me continuously hurl abuse at him throughout the game and remind him that he's not good enough for this level. long story short- they still do so.

Taylor’s goal scoring form has been a hot topic down at the Memorial Stadium as well as being subject to speculation over his future. Proposed moves for striker from Hearts have been speculated in a supposed deal that sees him have a pre-contract deal with the Scottish club.Nevertheless, the 25-year-old is very much a Bristol Rovers player for now and has shown his loyalty to the club with goals in recent weeks and months. And, you’d presume that the striker would like to help his side to back-to-back promotions for the first time in the clubs history.
I guess that the guy who wrote the above is privy to more than we are. Is a pre contract legally binding or is it just like putting in an option clause ?
