Possibly some mind games going on but the BBC is saying Newport may have three regulars out and will also be without loanee Jake Gosling for obvious reasons. This might suggest Newport will be weakened but this is football so nothing is certain and I'm sure any replacements will be giving it 100% to stake their claim. Rovers are currently top of the six game form table and with Newport not far behind on seventh it's going to be a close one. Listening to his interviews I think Daryl has got his and the squads headspace spot on and we'll see a professional job done at Rodney Parade today. Safe travels Gasheads, sing your hearts out and let's hope your journey home is a happy one. 2-1 Gas! COYB!!

This is a notoriously 'bogey' fixture for us.
Let snot dwell on the past, and think of the future by Exiling previous results to history.
NEW 0-2 GAS Give em a couple of Big Mc's..

Well my shortest journey by far to any game this season, ten minutes down the road by car, or a 2 hour walk down the Monmouthshire and Breconshire canal . It will also be my cheapest journey too as I'll have no bridge toll to pay. For those travelling by car and are happy to pay the bridge toll by card, approach the toll booths to the right hand side as there are two card only booths which are far quicker to get through than paying cash, just push your card into the machine and it's scans your card, no pin number required. Conditions at the moment dry, cold and grey sky's overhead, there is lots of street parking around Rodney Parade similar to the Mem. So welcome to Wales fellow Gasheads, safe journey over and on your return UTG !!! Ps.....no rude chanting about the Welsh please or I'll have to take you all on

Could get really confusing when Newport chant Wales! Wales! Wales! a la rugby stylee only to get a retort of Wael! Wael! Wael! back at them...

That could cause some confusion when we start singing the England song and then start chanting Wael, Wael give us a wave. Ironically when I moved to live in Newport in the late 1960's all the lads I went to school with refused to sing the Welsh National anthem as they considered themselves to be English ! I don't think you'll find that will be the case anymore in Newport these days.

If you're going - have a good trip. Just remember your passports, visas and that you're upto date with your jabs.

Atmosphere warming up nicely. Plenty out for early beers in the Lamb and others. Local constabulary out in force but all relaxed and jovial. Plenty of local boozers opened early too!

The presidents christian name is pronounced 'while', don't think it will change people using correct pronunciation though, up until a certain former director left some people were still calling him dunsford!

Were we not told, on the OS or chatting with Nick day, the pronunciation is as in Gael Clichy?

Had a dream that we had Leadbitter sent off and score was 2-1. We were in yellow in this dream.

One [further] change to the line-up as Lee Mansell was injured in the warm up so Ollie Clarke takes his place

One down already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just as well Manse didn't start. On this pitch he would have struggled as he's reportedly already carrying an injury.

and whatever you do, dont wear a sheepskin coat Why? The Welsh are often thought to use sheep bladders as condoms. Unfortunately they don't remove the wrappers.
