I'd say the only place we lack experience now is out on the wings. Hopefully DC will rectify that problem in the next week or two. Sorry, benchmark is the wrong word. I meant an example of a team who failed because they got FL players. They still secured play-off spots each year, despite DC suggesting their approach was wrong. I completely agree with the two examples there, and I feel someone like Benson is exactly who we need now to fill in the gap left by Harrold. Unfortunately, most of these experienced FL players aren't available till January time. Mansell I feel provides the experience in midfield, and we have two very good players in Lockyer and Sinclair to play alongside him. Who will create chances/score goals out of Mansell, Lockyer and Sinclair? The wingers, hopefully. Mansell was always a good passer of the ball from what I can remember, so I'm sure he'll create chances too. I'm also hoping the strikers will score goals, whilst the midfield chip in with goals throughout the season. That's usually the way to go.

I think we'll struggle to break down teams and score goals again. Looks a dearth of creativity/goals centrally in midfield to me. As for the so called wingers? One has attitude problems/is transfer listed and the other failed to stand out much a division below.

I'd be stunned if we went into the first game of the season with Harrison and Gosling as our first choice wingers. I'm expecting at least one, if not two more wingers in before the first game. If those players aren't in the building by the end of the transfer window, then you have a point.

Don't we have league experience in our entire back line, half of the midfield and a striker? I thought it was a fairly good mix. What do you know about football? You know nothing compared to the man who changes his mind more times than he changes his socks

I think everything is fine at the moment. No need to press the panic button yet. But in regards to breaking teams down, don't forget that for about half the league when they come to the Mem, it'll be like playing at Wembley. They'll have all their players behind the ball and rely on the counter attack. Good time to play three at the back for us. Certainly going to be interesting.
