Their keeper deserved all he got, he weirdly decided that 1-3 down was the right time to give the Blackthorn End some stick when celebrating their goal. Not a clever Trevor.
I thought Lawrence had a very good game and showed he might be an asset after all. Taylor was excellent tonight, could've had five. I also thought Gaffney looked sharp, I hope his hamstring is alright. Lee Brown was also excellent, and apart from the first five or so minutes of the second half, the whole team played well. I still don't understand why Mildenhall wasn't playing all season.

Hartlepool were very poor, looked clueless from the start and no surprise they are near the bottom of the league. Made us look good side and players didnt really have to get out of 2nd gear.

I was told in the car on the way home that the person appointed to the board who had experience with the Wembley construction was the Principal Project Officer for it's construction, they aren't messing about by the seem of things, he's a very high profile acquisition to the board.

Let's hope so.
although I do recall the new wembley build was dogged by late running construction and horrendously over budget.
the construction of the Millennium by comparison was far more efficient...

Two of the best sequences of play aren't in those highlights. The build up to our third goal had a lot more passes than you see there and another chance in the second half that I think fell ultimately to Easter after some really good quick exchanged passes. Easier to play like that when you're winning but impressive at times. Slightly spoiled but some poor defending and a lot misplaced passes - but it was windy!

What an amazing game. Cracking atmosphere too :-) Not sure if we were good or Hartlepool were really bad, but we were up for it from the start and only took our foot of the gas in the second half. Back in the playoffs, so all good... PS. Their poor goalkeeper took some stick tonight... What was the crowd please ?

just got home, a relatively easy win over a poor team, didn't ned to overstretch themselves to get this win, Lines had a pretty good evening but his lack of wanting to "win the ball " cost the Hartlepool goal , Gaffers went off with a strain after a second attempt at goal following a shot the keeper had saved, so news on him should be noted for the coming games ====around a hundred from H and it will be a long long journey home,, seen 4 or 5 seemingly depart when the third went in, Can you maybe explain that last bit please as I don't understand it. The part that starts with ====around. Thanks

Thanks basically saying there were a hundred or so following from Hartlepool, [according to announcement] and that 4 or 5 Hartlepool fans seemed to leave when the third Rovers goal went in , they disappeared behind the pasty hut and never re- appeared

noticed that there were quite a few leaving early as well , the game was gone as a contest well before then, Rovers were ,it seemed happy enough to play out the game .as were Hartlepool and they were only going to possibly get another consolation at the most

Not only was Matty Taylor's first-half tap in at 1-0 onside, but - though it might be a little churlish to say it - Paynter looked offside when the ball was played to him for the M-H's only goal of the night.
