I have just spoken to Amanda Jacks from the Football Supporters Federation and she has said she is happy to speak to any Rovers fans who were victims of over zealous policing on Saturday, either at Barnet or Paddington. Her telephone number is 07703519555. The initial advice is free and this organisation have helped thousands of football fans over the years.

Why would anyone get arrested at Paddington?
Tens of thousands of people go through that station every day without any problems. Just arrive, don't make a fuss or cause inconvenience for other travellers, wait for your train and get on it.

ACAB Not sure what that means, but if it's All Coppers Are B#######, that kind of proves my point. I've been through Paddington many many times on Saturdays during football season, I've never been arrested or harassed by Police. But I have had the train rides there and back ruined by antisocial behaviour from not only football fans but also Rugby supporters.

Coming back from Wembley we nearly had our train ride ruined by the anti-social behaviour of two coppers. They were removed from the train by a colleague who pointed out they were b'stards.

On the bright side we've got Oxford on Sunday and the Thames Valley Police are famed for their level headed approach to the Gas over the years, oh hold on I think I'm getting confused again

We once had head of South Wales Police round our house apologising for his officers handy work.

Oxford plod will be identical to any visit to Swindon, every single away supporter is a coked up hooligan intent on smashing the place up and battling any Home fan they can get their hands on.
Same old, same old.

Same old, same old. I just wouldn't ever go to Poxford again and exactly because of that. I remember the last thread, when we played there and how it turned into argument. Some lucky gas, managed not to be taken onto the council estate. I bet they would be talking very differently if they had been in that special little detour though

Maybe if you got 4 people sharing it'd be alright.

And then cover their mistakes by closing ranks and/or actually charging those they have assualted of assaulting them? You seem to be implying that, because you have never seen police malpractice against fans, therefore it never happens. I think that's a dangerous attitude to take. All the OP is saying is that the FSF are up for helping collect evidence. And anyway, IF the police have acted badly, its almost impossible to bring them to account for it. I think part of the reason its so difficult to get justice when the police do wrong is down to the attitude of too many that refuse to accept that The Watchers need Watching.

I saw a group of blokes arguing through the fence with a copper at half-time, presumably about one of their mates who had been arrested. Some bloke who was old enough to know better tried to justify it all with 'if they hadn't played Akinde it wouldn't have happened'.. FFS I thought. Then at the end of the game some young lad was being a dick shouting and gesturing at the Barnet fans. tbh the Police did seem to go in a bit hard on him - I'd have thought they could have just blocked his path and told him to shut up but they hauled him away aggressively and that caused a reaction from a number of other fans. I've got to say I'm normally on the side of law and order but I wont being going to Oxford as I can't be doing with hanging around for an hour after the game and then be told I can't go to the car park to get my car but must walk to the train station instead.

Difficult to understand how two men perhaps the same age, support the same football club, go to the same away football match, one experiences no problem with stewards or the Police the other has a completely difference experience. That might seem a simple analysis but that's what appears to happen...wierd or what ?
