Right here is one of those no game today lets find something to talk about threads..... Of all the strikers you have ever seen play for the Gas what would be your ideal front two, Mine would be Devon White and Barry Hayles
Devon because he just has to be there, my favourite player out of the team that made me fall in love with Rovers, not the most technically gifted but always troubling the defences and finding the back of the net. Barry Hayles isn't my next favourite striker, no mistake he's great but I probably prefer both Cureton and Roberts, but I think Barry would compliment Devon, similar skill set to Carl Saunders but a better player. Then I would have Matty Taylor on the bench because he's the new messiah come to save us, and either Sinclair or Wally Walters in the gap behind them, just because mentioning both of them brings a little joy to my life

Would you like to see Bollox up front alone or slotting in between two up top?

For me it's got to be Warboys and Bannister. So many highlights, unlikely to see the like again.

No need for 2 up front. I give you 2 words. Bob Lee. Andy spring played up front in a match at eastville I remember. Gouldy said he could be rovers Rambo in reference to a player playing for city at the time(I think Johnson was his surname ??).. spring and and bouncing bob lee......WOW alternatively has has to be penrice and Stewart... If pushed in a three lambert but that wouldn't work on the pitch.......imo.......

Ian Hamilton. Now he was a magnificent player but not many remember him. Yes I agree, Ian was a very underrated player who always seemed to be there or thereabouts, but was never the star of the team. Do you remember him playing in big yellow gloves when it was a bit chilly? It's commonplace now of course, but not at that time and he took a bit of good natured banter for it. As for the question it has to be (predictably) Bradford and Biggs, and if there's to be a runners-up spot then Warboys and Bannister for me. But we always used to have a reputation for producing good strikers, they almost seemed to be on a conveyor belt it seems to me because they were quite plentiful. So everyone is sure to have their own pairing. But it's a good question though.
