Another sincere and heartfelt post, Mr Kp. All delivered in your brilliant, emotional way. I applaud you, sir! Please keep in mind though this is a very small proportion that are activists. I'm not disrespecting or invalidating your post in any way, I was trying to make the point a minority.. Quite right in what you say. I am now able to talk and to consider a good few of their older fans, as friends. I often find myself saying that it would have been great to have been able to do this all the time. I did write that in the wrong way and I shouldn't generalise but it is hard at times, when you have been subject to some of that awful behaviour and it sometimes makes me write without thinking, due to the emotive subject matter. Sorry for generalising my friend. I appreciate you making that point.

Just a general thought whilst reading all this stuff about Teds - is it my imagination that since their demise to the bottom of their League they are few and far between on here lately? Used to get a bit of banter from a few of the more sensible ones but all seems quiet on that front. No it's not your imagination (in fact far from it), because I've noticed exactly the same thing myself. Long may it continue I say. There was the one guy, I used to find his posts pretty decent to be honest. I think it was Kaiser something or other ? You can bet your last penny that they will be back if 1) they start winning or 2) the court case inevitably goes against the club. On my Facebook, I have noticed that my Red friends have been extremely quiet.

It's Mickey Mouse again though this season, isn't it? As far as I was aware it only had a temporary respite from being Mickey Mouse for a year, but it's definitely Mickey Mouse again this season I think! It is and always will be Mickey Mouse. It was Mickey Mouse in 1990, it was Mickey Mouse in 2007, and it'll still be Mickey Mouse if we ever win the bloody thing. Oh come on, don't be ridiculous. That's a consistency of naming and high profile corporate association that this competition can only dream of. More likely to be something along the lines of; 1983-1989: Accepted Derogatory term = 'A Danger Mouse Shield' 1990-1997 - 'A Billy Bunter Bust' 1998-1999 - 'A Count Duckula Vase' 2000-2004 - 'A generic s**tty anime thingy Snizzlestick' 2005-2008 - 'A Bannanaman Thimble' 2009-2013 - 'A Stressed Eric Pennant' 2014 - Onwards - 'A Tinkerbell Trophy'

Windy Wiper Shield was my favourite, although the Paint Pot Trophy has a certain ring to it too.

As much as I see it as Mickey Mouse, it's still great if we manage to get to the final and, let's face it, it's a nic chunk of money. I was genuinely shocked to see both Wigan & Blaxkpool, in the Northern area pool. I really don't closely follow any other club. I remember both being relegated from the prem but not going down to L1. That kind of worries me because they will still have a healthy income from the parachute payments and, I guess, will have stronger and more competetive budgets in comparison to others in L1 ?

I'm not knocking it, I like the Mickey Mouse Cup. I'm knocking people who take it too seriously, I guess. I shouldn't worry too much about Blackpool's budget, the Oystons will have extracted the parachute money by now!

There's obviously a Blackpool fan living somewhere around where I live because as if it's not difficult enough having bi-lingual signs there's now a Blackpool fan, spraying in orange, Oyston Out on all the bl**dy road signs

Come on let's not focus on Mickey Mouse trophies we have not won. Let's focus on the massive, internationally recognised cup we have won. Yes younger readers, we have won a cup.............it was the Watney Cup and remains the closest thing to the FA cup that a club could possibly win. For your information Watney sold a beer at the time called Starlight. It was so weak that it could have been legally sold during prohibition in the US.
They also gave us products that remain as relevant today as they did then - look up the Party Seven!

Don't forget Watneys Red Barrel - who could? Wasn't double diamond a Watneys beer ? Ind Coop, and equally as bad. A Double Diamond did not work wonders, though I used to drink both.
