So glad you said that as I have believed it to be the case too. I will never blame Mansfield and I hold no ill will to them whatsoever. What really did it for me was them playing in our kit. That is bound to end up being a question in a sports quiz someday It was somehow fitting that a team wearing a Bristol Rovers kit put us out of the league. After all, we, with the fanbase and potential to do so much better, were the ones who shafted ourselves with the mismanagement of a fine club. It certainly gave them on OTIB a good larf for many many weeks. I agree with you entirely. As for OTIB ? That lot are so deeply in denial of supposedly not caring about us that they broke their thread post record on the non league Bristol Rovers post. I have, on occasion, gone to have a look and they have a few reasonable posters but they are still, by and large, a vacuous and fickle bunch.

That is bound to end up being a question in a sports quiz someday Been away for a few days so not had a chance to respond. I think I might have misrepresented myself, when I said go down, I purely meant get beaten on the day. Actually on the last day I could not make the match, I was away on a long weekend, planned when I anticipated a mid table finish. It rates as the second worst weekend of my life. The classic car I was in overheated twice, on the Friday it got taken away on a low loader from Cheshire. The upshot was I had to share with another mate, he has a significantly more cramped but exotic Cobra. Regretfully on the Saturday lunchtime that got side swiped and the wing crushed, whilst we were driving, he was not happy. To make matters worse, he is a BCFC season ticket holder and I had to sit in a bloody garden centre, near Mansfield, with him huddled round a mobile phone with 5 other friends listening to us get relegated.. I don't wish Mansfield any ill will, I am just reminded of that weekend every time I hear the word Mansfield, I am hoping to exorcise that ghost by beating them tomorrow. After that I will be quite happy to see them promoted with us. Blimey, i feel eel for you mate. I think, given your experiences, that you are fully vindicated in feeling the way you do. Classic cars eh, always money. Was his a real cobra or one of the replicas ? I used to have access to a few Cobras, original AC and replicas and they are a lot of fun to drive. I hope we get the win tomorrow and that it exorcise the pain of that awful day for you

What's the closest pub? That'll do ! closest are the railway and the vic, about 5 mins. Then the talbot and posh rosso about 7 mins but the other side of the ground. Chip shop , Mc Donalds ,KFC up here plus bingo and pictures if you decide not to witness a drubbing lol. The town Centre is about 10 min on foot in the same vicinity as the railway and vic. Loads more pubs down here. If you want a dust up try the crown and anchor. Bookies in spitting distance from the crown and anchor and also a bookies almost next door to the talbot on Nottingham rd. Google map the town to see where I mean. Have fun.

Phew, wait until we play Notts Cheaters I'd start doing you're research now. One of the sacred pleasures of being a football fan is being able to have an unjustifiable hatred of any team you like. And I'll be bollocked if any PC, hand wringing do-gooder is going to tell me otherwise. Have you have many of us PC, hand wringing do-gooders tell you that you can't have an unjustifiable hatred of a football team? Do you mean actually talk to PC hand ringing do-gooders? I'd leave halfway through the conversation

After that I will be quite happy to see them promoted with us. Here's another reason for drawing a line under history and focusing on tomorrow's game. Of the eighteen-man Mansfield squad at the Mem in May 2014, only three appeared in the Mansfield squad in 2015 in their last game (the 3:0 win over Newport County). Jamie McGuire is the only one who played both games in full. Jack Thomas was a non-playing sub in 2014, but started the game against Newport last week. He was replaced by Chris Clements, who had also stayed on the bench at the Mem in May 2014. In contrast, five of the Rovers squad against Mansfield in May 2014 were in the squad in our last League game, at Morecambe: Steve Mildenhall, Ollie Clarke, Tom Lockyer, Mark McChrystal and Tom Parkes. None of the Mansfield squad against Newport figured in the eighteen that faced Rovers at Field Mill in October 2013. Lee Brown and Harrison would have been involved as well wouldn't they? Injured maybe... Can't wait for today... going to my first away game since my son was born over two seasons ago. Hope the memories of that fateful day in may don't make us want it too much and loose focus.

Brown was injured (no fullbacks, remember!), Harrison was in the doghouse.

If you leave, how do you know it's halfway?

The real things are now stupid money, I don't know how anyone affords to buy them. They are just about the most hairy chested sports car available and I would love own one. You must remember, Trying to tame your right foot is very difficult though, both for the acceleration and sound. I can tell you, it really was my worst ever weekend away. I so hope we win today although without Gos and Billy, the latter who has been the difference over the last 3 matches, it has become harder.

One of the sacred pleasures of being a football fan is being able to have an unjustifiable hatred of any team you like. And I'll be bollocked if any PC, hand wringing do-gooder is going to tell me otherwise. I think i'm more of an apple mac, hand wringing do-gooder, but anyway completely agree, hate on. Teams I particularly hate are Crawley Town, Manchester City, Accrington Stanley and Lincoln City (that's todays list anyway), although I do feel I am justified in all of them

Bodin not travelled because of injury.Subs: Milds, McCrystal, OClarke, Harrison, Gos, Montana, Bliss. That's a disappointment, but the bench does provide for a few decent changes if necessary. And I'm also a little surprised that Mark McCrystal didn't make the starting XI. Still, we'll soon see.
