We saw Rovers fans locked out of a stadium with plenty of space at Woking last year, and also saw our fans buying up home tickets at FGR, so yes, I think we should give them more.

This sounds pretty clear "No more tickets will be made available for away supporters"
Think we should have planned ahead here as I guess we've now sold all the other stand tickets so can't really re-house the South stand ticket holders, although could we move them all across a few rows? Is the game all ticket or is there a risk Pompey fans will travel up w/o tickets?

Definitely. If they bring a good singing contingent hopefully it will fire up the Gasheads.
Also we need money to pay for the refinancing of the MSP loan so let them in....

Is there any licensing restrictions on how many away fans can use the South Stand?
On the face of it seems to be a wasted opportunity, much like Plymouth 's decision to go back to all ticket for away fans. I can bet which decision will get the most comments though.

If we was expecting a big crowd then maybe. But 2,000 away fans and only 6,000 of us... No thanks to much of an advantage for pompey

I see they have also sold 2.5k tickets for Oxford in quick time also.
I'm guessing that as the demand is there that some will travel without tickets and hope for the best as some of our fans did to Kiddy.
should make for an interesting day!

It really is daft not to allow more tickets. The potential for any trouble would be nullified as we know Pompey travel in numbers & are, in the main, decent supporters. I honestly don't understand this at all. Another opportunity wasted imo

The Dribuild only has a couple of seats left, so nowhere to move the South Stand ticket holders, even if they were willing to be put elsewhere.

I have a box for that game and have a few Pompey (skate) friends with me. I am the only Gashead with four skates and five neutrals.

800 extra tickets at £23 each is over £16,000 plus drinks/food means we've thrown away the best part of £20,000, or the equivalent of the wages for a well paid new winger/striker for 6 months, or even both for 3 months?

No feckin way , I've paid for a season ticket in the south stand and I ain't moving Do you really mean that ? I ask as it makes me wonder why many would not put the interests of th club before theirselves. If you knew this would pay for a player or players, would you still feel the same way ? Not having a dig but am genuinely interested in the reply. Xheers

Do you think season ticket holders in the west stand , dri build and blackthorn end would give up their seats or space on terrace so a visiting supporter can come and have a day out ?? I think we all know the answer to that . So my question to you is why do you think we as fully paid up season ticket holders should even consider doing so , do you think because we sit in a temporary stand that we are not worthy or are second class fans ? My season ticket cost over £300 and I frequently travel away ( when not at work ) so I say to you and anyone else . I am not giving my up Cheers South stand ultras ?

Basically, no, I don't think Pompey should get significantly more.
Maybe could extend segregation netting a little in South Stand, but nothing to compromise season ticket holders as they're priority and should be rewarded with loyalty over a once a season pay day.
It's a lovely romantic vision to equate extra £ directly to the plight of better players / wages etc, and if we could trust that to happen in that way that would be an interesting debate.....but I just fear any extra revenue wouldn't end up in the final destination pot of funding a new star player because I just couldn't trust the Board to do the right thing once the funds were in their pockets.
Sorry! That's the way I feel. So my viewpoint supports the guys/girls who valuably sit behind that goal providing support every week..

It's strange that when we don't get enough tickets to satisfy demand we bitch and moan that we should get more but when roles are reversed we don't think the same.
