Yet again after hopes are raised. It is now being suggested that NH isn't interested. Another false dawn : another fruitless exercise of what might of been. Sorry to sound negative but this talk talk talk have been going on for 40 years and look were we are ?. It get's my suspicious mind thinking that when the board fails on many project ( UWE stadium / MEM revamp/ MEM complete development / MEM north stand project). It cleverly moves on to another plan to divert attention and accountability to the previous plan. A bit like the marxist did on there 5 year plans via satelite nations in the 1980's. I mean what's the use in debating this story if it's so called being blocked from the top. Perhaps that's the ploy to move on to plan c.d.e.f.g. Either way we can dream as much as we want but we still play in a ground which hasn't been improved since 1997. Our debt's have jumped from £1 million to near £7 million. And I am fed up of stories dreams and NH. It's like a series of Soap isn't it, interesting for a while, but eventually it all just gets boring. Come on Jon, you put this up in public view, stop messing around, who are these investors, and if they are serious, why are there even a problem? They can just go straight to UWE, build the stadium, it's self sustaining with or without Rovers, so no risk in terms of it as a business proposition, once the first brick is laid the pressure on Higgs (if he really is holding the club back) will become unbearable.

why do you think NH is stalling JTS? i don't want to assume anything so i will sit on the fence on that - i'm not trying to disrespect anyone cause i'm sure they have their own reasons (right or wrong) maybe the BoD want the chance to continue to prove they will eventually get it right their way and as so may decide the offer is not acceptable for them - UTG that seems fair enough to me JTS - ta

Sorry I am frustrated !. What use is it breaking a story about a possible bid but suggestions are it might be rejected?. We already know what NH is like. So unless we can remove them ( which we can't). It's a nothing story..
Again sorry if I sound angry...

also, do you have a view as to what a 'fair price' might be? Tbh i'm not really clever enough to know these things so wouldn't really have a clue i'm afraid there are lots of methods. As with anything else, the fair price on the day is the one that the seller will sell at and the buyer will buy at
if the potential investors are looking to wait out the cash 'siege' - caused by the Wonga loan - they might be looking for the price to drop
one method is to take the Net Tangible Asset Value, which might be something like (using fictitious figures, I haven't a clue what the real ones might be):
Stadium value £15m Loans outstanding -£5m Other bits and pieces £1m
so total value, based on assets only, £11m

I would hope we will all find out finer details/names in the coming week i don't think its for me to post names that is their perogative imo I apologise if you feel i am 'messing around' it is not my intention UTG

Hey JTS, this is a major development and hopefully those of us in the "stop moaning, there are no other options" camp might finally be proved wrong. Understand you can't and won't name names but can you at least say who ISNT involved? Harry Redknapp, Noel Edmonds, Jeffery Archer, Frasier Krane, Alan Sugar, Ollie, Oscar the Programme Seller??

For what, leaking half a story? So would you rather JTS not post any info ? No, he's been up front about what he knows and what he feels he has to hold back. Certainly beats the wink, wink, nudge, nudge style of certain posters who are happy give the impression that they know far more than they do, when time and again when the truth outs are shown to be as clueless as the rest of us. Though, I would like to know his "sauce".

Yes and NO I suppose.
There's nothing developmental in the story and it's very little different from other stories in the last 40 years.
We might get a new stadium - We ain't getting a new stadium We might be getting investment - We ain't getting investment We might be getting new backers - we ain't getting new backers.
So what nothing changes..

BG, this is is the problem with passing on information & why I quit sharing anything that I got. People always want more & then some will accuse others of 5h1t stirring and much worse. If you knew JTS then you would know he is not one to say anything at all, of this nature, plus he just doesn't get involved in general gossip. He must have felt, my guess, that the alternative being pushed forward is not ambitious enough and felt that the clubs fans and future fans deserve better. The Jon I know would NEVER put this out there unless he felt that WE were being let down badly. If you read what he has posted then he has already said that he expects the consortium to go public next week or maybe later. Sometimes all you can do is put as much information out there and be careful that you do not get a lawsuit against you and so it has to be a generalised version. I can only say that I respect JTS for giving us the information he has, it's up to you if you believe it or not. Why not now just wait and see what does come out publicly ?

You really are a bore Bamber - it is not for Jon to give a detailed explanation. The door is open for Mr Higgs to offer up an explanation. If he does not then he risks others giving their version of events.

But why can't the investors speak up themselves today, why use JTS as a news breaker then wait until next week? I can't see what they have to lose by speaking out now, or have they entered into one of NH's infamous "confidentially" clauses, if so, we might never hear their plans or even who's involved.
All the other poster suggested do our BoD keep giving up hope of a new stadium knowing full well they find some kind of hitch to stop it happening?
