There is a plan B, believe me, and a stadium will be built on the EWE land, maybe not the same design or size but it will be built and yes it involves selling the MEM. No surprise there then.

Why would I take the trouble and time to post rubbish, am I known as a wind up merchant? I think not!

The tub was full of himself and stated that the finances were no worse than they have always been. Geoff gave him an easy ride this time. I wish that interview was still available. Listening to NH squirm was glorious.

can you tell us any more Thatslife Afraid not but believe me when I say the plan B is a viable scheme Are you able to tell us why they haven't cracked on with it rather than wasting a million quid and two years pursuing Plan A, once that became obviously not viable? It seems odd behaviour.

It seems odd behaviour. A scenario that would answer that would be that Plan B is to wait for UWE to build their own stadium, Rovers become tenants, Higgs sells our stadium and pays himself back the millions he has wasted, both running the club poorly and getting outwitted by Sainsbury's?

But we don't have pp for a different design or size, was NH therefore lying? Although I thought GT was asking about the Mem so couldn't understand NH's answer anyway.

GT, has in the past, asked questions which he already knew that answers to thus exposing Higgs as a teller of untruths. I doubt that this interview was any different.

What a horrible thought. And probably correct. And the worst of it would be - NH would still be Chairman.

I have no idea if it's correct, it was the only permutation I could think of that ticked all the boxes of Seth's question. Maybe someone can tell us what plans locally have PP? As far as I'm aware, the Mem development permission has expired, so Higgs could only possibly have been talking about UWE.

An opportune moment for That's Life or Henbury (for they are 'in the know') - to actually tell us something worth listening to.

As far as I'm aware, the Mem development permission has expired, so Higgs could only possibly have been talking about UWE. I didn't hear the interview, and Ann wasn't' certain about what she heard, but she's pretty good so at least worth speculation about Plan B having planning permission. There are two extant relevant planning permissions: a 21,000 seater stadium plus add-ons at UWE (expires in a few months time); and a supermarket and housing at Horfield (no idea when that expires). So what could it be? 1. Babmber's proposed 'hope someone else builds at UWE': we rent that, sell the Mem for development with its PP for a realistic price (say £15 million) pay off the debts and Directors's loans (say £8 million) and either put the other £7 million onto the books for flogging the club to someone else at a better price than they'd get now, or put it aside to pay for the first few years' rent; 2. We sell the Mem with its PP for £15 million and source another (probably by now, with wiggle room) £25 million from somewhere else to build at UWE; 3. Refuse to believe Plan A is dead, chase it through the courts for years and then either win and find we're still £10 million short to build at UWE, or lose and cross that bridge when we come to it.

Always with the negative, feel sorry for you. I'll be positive. Building started at the end of May last year, as promised just two months beforehand, all has gone to time and budget (obvs), and the stadium will be completed by the end of November. Obviously I can't tell you who told me that, and I'll be talking some other vacuous bollox by the time it doesn't happen.
