After their win at St. Albans today Bath have made it 5 out of 5 for the start of the season. See www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/results?filter=competition-118996308 Always had a soft spot for Bath even before our Twerton days so very pleased to see them on the up. The Conference (National League) has been their "natural level" so would be good to see them back there and pushing for a league spot!

I think Bath City's problem for a while now has been that the Conference is no longer really their natural level. I know they're in perpetual financial struggle but it seems to me that it always becomes more critical after they've had a stay at Conference standard.
The reality for them is that non-league football moved on as regards levels professionalism, investment, facilities etc and they haven't really. They've had some innovative ideas recently but I think it's going to be quite a long way back for them. No real reason why they couldn't be a force in non-league football though if they managed to get themselves on a firm enough footing.
