All I think we all have enjoyed the videos posted up by a our official "V Blogger", especially the fact that many of them our available so quickly on social media outlets such as Facebook Its time to support this enterprise as the club, despite the official title, do not. It has come to our attention that Jake will need support to attend most games now to be able carry on his role and provide the videos that we, especially those of us who cannot attend a lot of games because of geography, enjoy. Please show your support as gasheads here crowdfunding.justgiving.com/letjakefilmCheers

He managed to go to games without our help prior to being made 'official' blogger, what's changed?

I really admire Jake and his productions. The "rawness' of his vidoes make them refreshing and enjoyable for me. I'll be making a donation.

The club are using his videos so they should be making the funds available. Sorry but unless the club have turned this down then I don't see why anyone should give when no real explanation is given. Our fans are very generous normally and if he felt he wanted to let people know what has changed then most will see it as bragging. I would write to the club and ask them before turning to the fans.

Surely the club could give Jake comps for the away games Too right they could but would they consider Jake an 'official' of the club, anyone know Brian Seymour Smith well enough to ask him if that could be considered ?

In my ignorance, I didn't realise Jake was still doing his own videos as well as the "official" vlog. www.youtube.com/channel/UCcXKaTKsjeil6IzjG0LIqYQAt the end of the Yeovil video, Jake explains that there have been some issues re copyright and therefore, he'll be focusing more on the fan experience, whilst capturing a little bit of the action. What they lack in polish, they make up with enthusiasm.

Fair play to Jake for doing something he likes to do and fair play to Rovers for expanding their web content by including a vlogger in their post-match video uploads. Perhaps the club could do something for him in terms of complimentary tickets, but I'm not sure how easy that is to sort out for someone who is by no stretch of the imagination a member of the Rovers media team (at away games). If it is possible, though, it would be a good move by BRFC.
If Jake was to get comps, though, there is then the argument that everybody who does stuff for the club should get them too. I mean, we also have a fan blogger who has done the job for a good few years and his articles are excellent. He must dedicate a lot of time to write them (he's a student and it can't always be easy to write a 1000 word article every week) and they always receive great feedback on Twitter and Facebook, but because they are so professionally written there isn't the same clamour for him to get free tickets. I guess people have got used to his content being on the website now and assume he is a club employee or something, but for the standard of work he produces - and purely because he is a diehard Gashead - he too deserves the same treatment people want for Jake.
It is good we have young talented Gasheads who are willing to produce content for the club, so I would like to think the club are looking after them.

Surely it's just a hobby?!
I've had a knack of catching goals on film for years, I just chuck them on my Facebook/Twitter etc.... If the club wanted that footage they could just have it. No sweat.
Comp tickets and payment though?! Anyone in the ground can take a phone out of their pocket and record match action.

I'm fairly sure if the club runs ads on it's youtube channel it makes money. Surely they should do this, it won't make much but every little helps.

I agree, but if the club are wanting to use his stuff then it's not beyond reasonable to expect a little something is it? He wouldn't exactly be the first person to get free tickets

Like the guy mentioned above, churning out the popular 1000 word articles week in week out for the website. Would just seem like a huge can of worms that's all.
