Very worrying. With Harrison only managing the one goal from many attempts and dominant play. He should easily be hitting the net roughly 2 to 3 times a game with all the chances created. Well I reckon its a safe bet neither of you were at the game today. Their keeper played a blinder. That's your safe bet down the drain! Reference to chances remains valid whether the keeper played a blinder or not.

Very much like last season, when all the halfwits thought the season was all about the first game and not the following 45. It's going to be another long season with the educated moaners expecting a win every game again. After all we are the mighty Bristol Rovers and splash the cash Just like at Wembley - a win is a win is a win - ask man U and Alex Ferguson - 1st min last min, on penalties - it only matters that it was a win.

Reference to chances remains valid whether the keeper played a blinder or not. He beat the keeper with the overhead kick and forced two top-corner saves from the keeper. No complaints about his finishing at all.

Why the negativity? this time last year we had just lost at Altrincham, in bottom 4 of Conference. We are now mid table in League 2!! Yes we should have scored more but...shots were on target, goalie saved them and fair do's to him. If shots had been high and wide then perhaps we could criticise, but they weren't, they were on target. Well done Rovers job done! Well done all the players, they all played well and all looked comfortable. I bet Yeovil would do a bit of swapping with us right now! I do wonder sometimes if people like to have something to criticise. UTG!

Depends really. Might consider it a green light to going down town and finding someone better....maybe a Gas Girl who will re-educate him.....all in the best possible taste of course!

Expect if internet forums had been around in 1966 some of the fookers on here would be moaning that Geoff Hurst only scored 3 and 1 of them shouldn't have counted

Fair play to the Gas, fully deserved your win today. Think Krysiak saved us from a 5-0 or 6-0 result there; he's a decent keeper prone to the odd howler but today he was outstanding. The save to deny Harrison on 76 minutes was unbelievable.
Re Sturrock not knowing his best team. He can't know it because he can't play it for many weeks yet. Dawson, Gillett, Tozer, Compton, Laird and Dickson would all be in his first XI for sure and Sowunmi & Gibbons would be defenders on the bench which we didn't have today. If we'd had even half of those back, I'd fancy us for a mpoint but we didn't, and we didn't. Red card made no difference at all.
Leadbitter was class, Harrison impressive. Your keeper's kicking is poor for a big bloke, fans were loud and proud.
See you on April 16th.

'Our' keeper did well on debut I thought. I hope as his confidence grows he'll realise that at 6' 8" he can claim virtually every high ball that comes in to the box.
His distribution was good considering he'd only just met the squad.

If those inbreds want to see a plonker they have only got to look at their dug out and listen to their post match interviews to see that SC is the biggest plonker of all time. Even beating Sean odium all to that title. on the "football league show" this evening, SC was interviewed re the red card,,,"the lad didn't have to put his head there"!!! and it was only a yellow!!! he would be better off on stage cracking ones like that!! you couldn't make it up

funny thing is the player who got the high foot in his face didnt have his head low or anything so it was clearly dangerous play!! no bad intent from freeman but these days you risk a red for a high stud

Red card made no difference at all. Maybe not but that was a really dumb 1st booking. He'd done a decent job of stopping us taking the free kick quickly (which every player does and generally gets away with it) so why on earth did he feel the need to carry on standing there? How long does it take you guys to get organised?!

I wonder if the ref realised the ball hit Harrison and not the Yeovil player he booked?

I wonder if the ref realised the ball hit Harrison and not the Yeovil player he booked? Its actually probably irrelevant, their player raised his foot to interfere with the free kick, but no I don't expect the ref did notice. I'd seen it several times and not noticed either
