After the Cheltenham game, I think Puddy has to be number one. Mildy seems to have lost it completely. He spent most of the game lambasting everyone else.
Time for change.

Mildy by a country mile ....he saves vital pens ..at Cheltenham on Sat and at Wembley ...vast experience at this league level...Puddy not FL standard ..feel Preston should be our number two on the bench ....let Salisbury have Puddy on season long loan.

How many penalties did he save at Wembley and how vital was Saturday's save at Cheltenham?!

I'll ask again until you get it right, how many penalties did Mildenhall save at Wembley?

I'll ask again until you get it right, how many penalties did Mildenhall save at Wembley? Grimsby Town sub missed his penalty kick
So I will ask again until you get it right ....
Do you agree the fact the manager decided to swap Puddy for Mildy was a masterstroke which ensured PROMOTION

The penalty at Cheltenham was caused by Mildy, if it had been a league game he would have been sent off, he was badly at fault for the first goal too. I take no pleasure in saying this but I think age has started to catch up with him, his inability to read when to come out or stay back is going to cost us big time. Puddy has shown in the latter part of last season how good he is as well as earlier in the season and shouldn't have been dropped. He was quite rightly brought back in again after some howlers by Mildy including letting the ball through his legs into the goal. Was impressed by Preston against Mangotsfield but presumably the manager considers he isn't quite ready for the league.

No I don't, and in the aftermath of the game Dc pretty much admitted it was a roll of the dice (and good for him for saying that btw, rather than bulls**tting).
I still think Mildenhall is a good keeper, I just think Puddy is better.

When they asked Darrell about that decision he admitted it wasn't preplanned before the game, they were more concerned about Chris Lines being able to finish the game, if you remember Ollie Clarke was stood waiting to come on as substitute. In another interview Chris Lines said although he was struggling he didn't want to come off as he was first on the list to take penalties. I think once Chris had indicated he wasn't coming off the decision to bring Steve Mildenhall on was made on the spur of the moment. I also agree with you though that I think Will Puddy is now a better keeper than Steve.
