Depends on what your interpretation of top flight football is. It really doesn't.

Depends on what your interpretation of top flight football is. I consider championship football as proper stuff. The fact is Plymouth and Rovers were neck in neck in the 1990's . In the season 1999-2000 our board had a big decision to make. Do we push on and fund a team for championship football or do we fund the manager with kids from Leicester in our final promotion fight. Plymouth pushed on and became a well established championship team . Success breeds success and three parts of Argyle stadium were revamped. Plymouth tasted top ex prem team with crowds of around 14000 with brand new facilities and lovely seats families can sit in. We started dropping down the table in the old division 3 and ended up in the basement league a few years later. The MEM is the same NOW as in 1997 when we first moved back. So what is my point ?? Of the few big teams in div 2 this season you can understand why they have gone from rags to riches. You could argue Plymouth became a victim of it's own success. However: I struggle to understand how our club is nearly £6 million in debt. Of course if NH wins the day and the UWE get's delivered I can justify our pass and see clear evidence of the future. But presently I see mass debt with free signings and a bone rattling ground. I guess £4m of that was spent on two stadium projects, another £2m trying to starve off two relegations. In some ways we'd have been better treading water in Div 1 or Div 2 whilst rebuilding the Mem. Then again who'd be complaining if we were looking forward to playing Arsenal & WBA in preseason friendlies at the new built UWE?

Higgs isn't at the Sutton game. Busy partying.....or busy packing?! Neither am I but I'm neither partying or packing Not wishing to whip us all into a speculative frenzy, but with the court hearing at 1030 tomorrow morning, surely he'd stay in London tonight. If so, why wouldn't he attend a match in the suburbs of London the afternoon before?! Just saying.

If he knows the result the last thing that he should have done was to go to todays game regardless of the decision.
If you were there today and he had been, no doubt you would have been posting now how we have lost because he was wearing a red hat.
It is a shame really how pathetic a few posters are on this forum but at least there may be a different thread on this topic tomorrow.

Much more important than attending a football match at Sutton.

To be honest, if you were Nick Higgs would you have wanted to go to the game and be asked about something you cant mention or dont know all day I thought he was at Salisbury yesterday? I believe he was according to another poster who spoke to him. Why should he go to both matches, most of us didn't. No doubt he enjoys his football but understandably any of our lot who see him are going to ask him about Monday hoping they can gleen some information from him. I think it quite wise of him not to make himself to easily available until after the court decision. Of course one assumes depending on the result will depend how available he makes himself after the result

Clearly he was in the Salisbury squad not the Sutton squad. No conspiracy.

Much more important than attending a football match at Sutton. But excluding Ken Masters and Brian Seymour-Smith who are not invited to all Board meetings.
Supporters should be asking why they are not invited to ALL Board meetings, especially in view of the amount of investment made by BRSC in the football club.
