The primary responsibility of their board is to operate in the interest of their share holders, not to do what the supporters of a 4th tier football club would like them to do.
Nothing whatsoever to do with being 'decent'' or otherwise.
exactly, they will not be paying up even if the contract is judged to be still valid, just means they will enter back into negotiations with us. If we force them to pay up this will take years and will be irrelevant because uwe won't wait much longer. A positive verdict for us is merely a lever to enable us to get some decent compensation and put plan b into action. We will soon find out if our board have taken ineptitude to a whole new level, even for them.

But, I think that Judy saying on Monday that the contract is valid does nothing more than shift the focus onto the detail of the writ that Rovers issued.
And so the merry-go-round keeps spinning.
Things going well in Cardiff though 122 for 6. Moeen, we love you.

If you'd all listened to those 'in the know' people from the start you'd be very confident right now ;-)

All depends what agenda GD NH and co got!. If they win and the UWE get's delivered. Then I need to give credit were credit is due. However: if it is a typical 'money get's lost' on expenditure: running costs and loan repayments having been paid out a undisclosed settlement. We know it is an 'age old' excuse made year after year on a club who averages over 6'500 and makes on average 500k a year on transfers.
I can understand Portsmouth and Plymouth because they tasted top flight football and improved their grounds. We have never ever been beyond lower divisions in the last 20 years and the MEM is getting worst not better...
I am sorry but I am at a loss why our club is £5-6 million in debt . Let's hope monday proves me wrong and it will be a price worth paying !!

Agree 100% with the above - some serious questions need answering if it all goes bad on Monday but doubt we will get the answers!

Well today at Sailsbury when asked about Monday, Mr Higgs said to the guy next to me in the bar "Cannot say but suggest you enjoy your match today" we decided that he did not sound happy so it was going to be bad news.....typical Rovers fans.

I suspect the Board knows. They would have probably seen the draft of the judgement probably a few days ago. The judgement is a reserved judgement. Geoff is a mere shareholder now, and it probably would have been contempt of court to tell him. GD won't know the decision, in the same boat as the rest of us mere mortals.

They both improved there ground, however, they both entered administration and had millions of debts written off, leaving company's out of pocket! They are both lucky to still be running.

Geoff Dunford says on twitter he has no insider knowledge but is very confident of good results both on and off the pitch this week !! He would be jeopardising himself by making such comments. Frankly I am surprised he has been drawn on the subject but then, Geoff has always enjoyed the attention so why should I be surprised. I still have a feeling we have not seen the last of him. He may not be a director now but he certainly has not distanced himself from the club. For someone who said he was standing down to give more time to his family & other interests, he sure seems to enjoy engaging in any chance to get involved. You just never know with Geoff, he may even be talking to future investors. Whatever my opinions, he's a canny operator and I have a certain respect for that

UTG But that is normal as far as I see it. We have had so many years of nothing but setback and bad news, that we come to expect it. He may have meant enjoy your match day as in have a big drink as we are sorted but I always expect the worst. It's not as if I can give even one example of a real triumph as the TRASH battle only ended up with us, in the situation we are in right now

Well if this does all go wrong tomorrow then the club will need a silver night to sort things out who better than GD for that role, after he cleverly disconnected himself from the present BoD??
Oddly what's good news for GD tomorrow, apart from having his loan paid back, might be news for the average Gashead.

UTG will NH walk if it goes badly on Monday I suspect he will It's the least he could do Mike. This was his forte, after all. This was supposed to be his thing & he took his attention away from an under performing team, to make sure all the detail was in order. IF it doesn't go our way then he would have no credibility left whatsoever. He really would be a dead Duck but I never cease to be amazed at the mans stubbornness. Let's not forget, without him the club would cease to exist. Let's hope we win though. As much as I feel we will not progress with Mr Higgs at the helm, I would still rather win. I feel bloody nervous and have done, since the announcement that the decision was Monday. I just want it done now.
