Not exactly shocking but Ali Durden reporting that Puddy is signing a 1 year deal today.
Good lad to have about, decent competition for Mildenhall, probably not hugely expensive either. Makes the odd error, sure, but show me a League 2 keeper that doesn't.

Thing is, some would probably take Macca in goal over Puddy seriously which is rather sad.

A decent keeper that catches crosses rather than flap at them, has the best distribution from hand that I can remember in a rovers keeper and is a good shot stopper. It's nice to have a modern keeper who is very quick out of his area and prevented a goal in the first leg at FGR by getting to the ball before their forward, and heading it away, after a shocking back pass by Tom L. I suspect part of the problem with the first 20 minutes at Wembley was the different dimensions of the pitch and also now that the hanger is gone he will have more leeway with his kicking.

Quite agree with all (well most of it at least) of that, but my post was intended to deal with the highlighted part of the previous post. When I read that a League Two goalie has his own song "I want to dance with will puddy," I did quietly despair. But back to the burning issue, who will be the managers choice between the sticks in the opening game of the season? Now that is the burning question.

Two talented goalies that are both good on their day - Darrell has probably had worse dilemmas Really pleased with this news. As for the song, Mildy's must be the most miserable chant I've ever heard, so Puddy could definitely do a lot worse there

Big shame that it never caught on.

DC had the training pitches marked up to the exact dimensions of Wembley for the last week of training.

Something of a drawback for a goalkeeper if he can't adapt to the dimensions of a pitch wouldn't you say? Especially as 23 of the pitches he'll possibly play on he'll only see once a season
