TBF, I hate both Newco and Celtic. Having lived in Glasgow I'm also not keen on Partick either. There's only one club in Glasgow that are worth supporting and that's the original Super Hoops, the mighty spiders, the men that play for the sake of playing.
Mon the QP.
St Mirren all the way. Not exactly Glasgow but not far off. They've always been my Scottish side. Scottish football is in the dumps sadly. Love Street was a wonderful ground, the new one is so bland. I wouldn't say Scottish football is in the dumps, they've got the best chance of qualifying for an international tournament since 1998. Domestically it does need help, talk recently of changing it to a summer league but that's not really done much for the League of Ireland.

I went past it lots of times, when the airport bus used to go that way into town, and I really regret not taking in a match there. I went to the new one earlier this year, and as you say, it is a typical bland, soulless new ground.

My Celtic season ticket went up by £50 this year, presumably because the club assumed the Rangers tribute act would be going up. I would ask for a partial refund, but I think todays result was worth the extra cash Another £50? Where would a Celtic fan get that sort of money? I nicked it from the collection plate in the local presbyterian church.

Love Street was a really beautiful little ground though, cracking roof on the side terrace (that became all seater) and the main stand was an odd little thing.

Only because of the new larger Euros where anyone other than the San Marinos of the world can make it. They may never qualify for a World Cup again. The domestic game is pretty low quality even among the mid table sides. One can understand why Celtic aren't as good to watch given their financial responsibility but the other sides may not cut it in League 1 or 2.

I have a mate that watches Scotland home and away, he's of the opinion Scotland aren't far off being a Wales, Sweden or even Portugal but miss that one world class player. They're a solid side, but could really do with one or two players to take them to the next level. Domestically the Scottish game is weak, mainly because Celtic live within their means and other teams still can't come close.

Would that have been the ground I saw on the train from Glasgow Central to Hampden?

You get a good view of it from the train, and I did get quite excited when I saw it, although I did manage to control my inner nerd in front of the carriageful of pissed up Glaswegian football fans.
