For those people on here who for some strange reason want grimsby to go up next year (their fans are trouble maker bottlers by the way! Hence the twats who tried to attack the vic/pub up at wembley)they seem to be losing their best players ha ha! Don't like them if I'm honest! 1 nil and you f**ked it up!!!!!!!!!

That's knocked back the GrimsBRFC mutual appreciation society!
Not much though..
With near 50,000 converging on Wembley, and isolated incident(s), I think both teams/clubs/supporters came away with mutual respect for each other.
That for me is far more important than some lads running away far faster from the Vic, than they did towards it on opening day....because they certainly got what they came for! Dished the fish.

Grimsby fans inside the stadium were class. Outside absolute bankers. Drunken yobs let off the estate for a day, no respect for us, looking for a row, looking for a wind up, one team in bristol etc on Wembley way....
That was my experience, obviously all will have a different point of view. As mentioned all clubs have their share of yobs, but as a point of discussion I feel I have more reasons to hate Grimsby fans than say Wycombe fans (not to be confused with the club) who were a lot more 'friendly' even after we beat them, and at the time looked to have put them on the brink of regation?

Well, I'm all for them getting promoted....nearest ground to me. My train down to and back from Wembley was packed with Grimsby, not one hint of bother

no problems for me on the day. Sat right on the halfway line, 10 feet from the Grimsby fans. Majority of them applauding us & giving a thumbs up as they turned and walked up the steps after Mansell smashed it in. Sure they looked f***ed off, but still a decent gesture all the same.
And it seems the yobbo wannabes targeted the wrong boozer, would have been a laugh riot seeing them try it on in the green man! Pah
