It'll be interesting to see if UEFA, the major nations and the sponsors have got any balls to do anything now.
I won't hold my breath.

The rest of the footballing world need Europe more than we need them. UEFA hold the power but do they have the bo11ocks to do anything about it? Probably not sadly

Should have the euros every 2 years instead Good idea. They could then have "invited guests" in the tournament, Australia sang in Eurovision so the precedent has already been set!

The bloke can only be:-
a) Corrupt (in that he is the ring leader of all the low life under him) b) Incompetent (in that he did not know - if you believe his side of the story - that the low life under him were corrupt)
On either count -save for the fact that he has greased enough poles to keep him there - he has to go in any sane world.
In my opinion the fact that it has taken a relative new comer to the world of football with the strength of legislation and balls to act speaks volumes to me. Everyone else has been dancing around the hat for years. Our friends across the pond have gone to the issues and acted. Maybe you should look to your own Presidency rules and suggest a rule change that maybe two terms is enough for anyone.
Just a shame that we now have to listen to a bunch of twangy voices talking about "soccer". For goodness sake - which bit of the acronym FIFA has got "soccer" in it?!! Can we now start calling "Baseball"as "Rounders" or point to the obvious anomaly of a "World Series". (I know it is a really minor point in the scale of things but it winds me up a treat!!!!!!!!!!)
That aside - well done and good look with bringing down the whole greasy edifice so that it can be built up properly.

Its gonna be a boring football summer (unless you like copa or fanny football).
Why don't they bring back home internationals every 4 years?

Because there is too much money to be made by clubs in their lucrative Far East/USA close season tours for their multi million pound sponsors for there to be any appetite for it. In any case I like the break from it.

You have to admire Blatter do you? He s more lives than a cat, is obviously a master at relationships and networking. How he can stand there and be serious about being voted in to make changes for the good, when he HSS been in that position for so long makes him a master, or totally deluded. I'll go for deluded!
What really winds me up, isn't so such that people are taking bungs, its thetotal loss of credibility that should be being voiced due to:-
- no action on Russia who should be stripped of the WC as part of supporting trade sanctions - taxpayers or fans money being spent by football associations in bidding for the WC when there is no chance of winning, as FIFA attempts to 'spread the game globally', doesn't that mean its a waste of time and money bidding for any established footballing nation? - SOCCER! FIFA should be dissolved just for using this word alone!

I could live without the Russia and Qatar world cup. How funny would it be for them to have to recover money from FIFA who no longer had UEFA.
Blatter is a twat and anyone who thinks appointing a Cayman Island Football Association head as VP is sadly lacking in judgement. We do not need nor want FIFA. UEFA should remove itself this summer.

UEFA is hardly a top organisation and Platini has disappointed several times. It's a point I've made before, all layers of football management are poor and out of touch with fans.

Being disappointing is one thing (gawd knows we have seen enough of that!) - being (allegedly) corrupt is something else. I also recall a certain Mr Warner being involved with Ollie many years ago on what seemed like a dodgy deal for a player that, thankfully, never got going. Thought then that there was something fishy with people like that.

Yeh, bring back Sir Stanley Rous, e were a propurr President ! But he was a '' propurr President,'' as his successors have proved. João Havelange and Sepp Blatter? I rest my case. Whatever you may think of Rous, he was never ever considered to be corrupt.

Does UEFA gift the football giants of Faroe Islands and Sam Marino the same voting rights as England, Germany etc?

Reforming FIFA is the answer, not UEFA breaking away. Blatter won't be around forever.
UEFA forming an elite with maybe South America would be like the formation of the Premier League when it split from the Football League. FIFA without UEFA would be massively weakened and unable to promote and fund the game in Africa and Asia. UEFA wouldn't give a toss about those nations and it would make the financial imbalances even greater.
FIFA, for all the bungs and corruption, do nevertheless invest a huge amount in coaching, facilities and promotion in lesser nations around the world. The aims and objectives are sound. The custodians of FIFA are not.

Darts formed a new world championships, no reason why football couldn't. If uefa walks, the rest will follow.
