I always had a soft spot for Bristol Rugby but their allegiance with the devil has pushed me in the "who gives a toss" camp.
The vision of a pissed off Pantsdown cursing at their latest bottling performance does bring a smile to my face though.
Sad and childish.... but it is what it is.

My ''purple patch'' for watching Bristol RFC was in the 1960s and 1970s, I never bothered too much after that time because of committments to family and BRFC. I loved watching players of the calibre of Dave Rollitt, Dave Watt, John ''Piggy'' Pullin and Alan Morley to name but a few. It was always a good afternoon's entertainment at The Memorial Ground at that time, but as with all things, times change.

Other than the recent 10 years, the early 1960's was the period I watched Bristol play. Living in Wales the older Welsh supporters always held Dave Rollitt in high esteem which is some compliment to him during the days of Welsh supremacy during that era.

Dave Rollitt was a PE and Physics teacher at my school - drove a Jensen Interceptor if I remember correctly.
