This was always going to happen. They conceded 5 against a sh*t Sheffield United team.

As the teams were walking off at half time I'm sure the commentator said Swindle by mistake !!

Did they announce the attendance We took more to Wembley than Preston and Swindon but they both took more than Grimsby. Still, only 1000 more there than at ours.

I don't know your age but let's just say we did some damage when we went there in the late 70's & 80's. I remember our lot somehow managing to tear up concerte and slinging it at them, coppers too. It was a scene of havoc & utter destruction. If you want to see what the bad old days were like, just have a look at this from the Swindon v Rovers game in 1983: Bizarre soft penalty at 4:35.

We took more to Wembley than Preston and Swindon but they both took more than Grimsby. Still, only 1000 more there than at ours. Apparently the cheaper tickets up top were kept off sale until the more expensive ones had sold out. Result? The cheap ones never got sold because a lot of people couldn't afford the higher prices even though they would have bought £30 tickets. Added to rail travel problems for both sets of fans and a stupid kick off time, the upshot was that both sides took around 10,000 fewer supporters than they may have expected to. All joking aside, it really is embarrassing that these occasions are attracting far fewer fans than they might do under other circumstances and the various authorities would do well to examine their attitude towards pricing before they drive even more people away from our game

They justified the vanarama prices by saying that they needed to cover the cost of the stadium hire. I assume the FA are heavily subsidising the Women's FA Cup final at Wembley then as tickets are £5-£15 fa cup

It was a scene of havoc & utter destruction. If you want to see what the bad old days were like, just have a look at this from the Swindon v Rovers game in 1983: I have often defended our boys or firm or insert word of your choice. When I think back to some of the stuff that went on, I feel ashamed to be honest. I would never dream of it now but it was so easy to get carried away and caught up in the mob mentality. We did some awful damage and I can never forget one incident in particular. Us V Chelsea, our lot got into a mob of them and 2 of them got split up from them, what ensued was nothing short of the worst violence I have ever witnessed and I then avoided 2 guys in particular, after that. I don't know but I have always thought if it's going to happen then in fairly equal numbers. What I saw that day showed the two guys up as cowards, as I see it. I hope I never witness anything like it again. I thought the 2 Chelsea, were dead.
