Will we go there to win, which I hope we do as we should be too strong or will Clarke go and play for a draw and try to win it at home? I think if he does the latter we will end up losing the game tonight. What's everyones thought?

Surely we got to go for it. We will get punished if we play for a draw. We play to our strengths then we can beat anyone in these playoffs.

I agree with you. We need to go there and play to win. We have never been able to defend a 1-0 lead never mind play for a draw!!
Lets play our own game to win!

Up the A46 from Tormarton, I'd expect. It'll be difficult to get the team bus through the lanes otherwise.

The story of the season so far is that (by and large) Darrell Clarke sets the team up for an away point, and is quite successful at it too. He is also not afraid to change tactics and personnel if the game isn't going to plan, so that's a plus.
I think that he may well go there for the draw this evening, but I really do hope not.

We will approach it like most other games against decent sides away, inviting pressure and hoping to nick one If we win hope it's by more than one as dangerous 1 0 lead at home and try not to concede,a draw would be good then we know we have to go for it the second leg We owe these b'stards one we shouldn't of lost to them at home, hope dc in drilling that into them Utg

Is the away goals rule definitely not being used?

Is the away goals rule definitely not being used? Depends on the mood of the ref and how well we're doing

I think DC will wait until we've scored ten, then he'll park the bus. You can't knock that plan.

I think the referees performance will be important. If the likes of Pipe and Coles get early yellows we can get on with our own game.

Wouldnt be surprised to see 3 at the back tonight with Brown and Leadbitter as wing backs, with Gosling to come off the bench if we need to go to a 442. I can see it being a tight game but you feel we will create chances, which we can hopefully put away. Fancy Taylor to bag vs his old club having fallen short in the two previous games.

Clarke's tactics have often depended in the state of the pitch. How is Forest's grass?

I hope you are wrong but I thnk you will be right. 352 can easily turn into 5 at the back. Safety first. Expect a very slow first half by us trying withstand all the pressure then open up and attack from the hour mark to steal a goal.

Clarke's tactics have often depended in the state of the pitch. How is Forest's grass? organic. and usually very good. smokes well un all, but a bit of an afterkick worst time this season was at Dartford. That stuff was strong, and lots of it. None of it on the pitch and i swear I had a hallucination of some massive wooden man standing right over me! crazy days.

I think DC will wait until we've scored ten, then he'll park the bus. You can't knock that plan. Well you can but it's a sensible way to approach playoff football. Playoff matchups are usually one by the team that makes the least mistakes and deals better with the pressure and psychology of a 2 legged tie. It is a unique situation for a lot of players and some really weird stuff happens. I swear some of the wildest games of football I've seen have been playoff matches because players from both sides have just completely lost their heads and allowed adrenaline to take over.

The tie is never over after the first leg, remember Northampton!! Unless we get another 7-0 win....If that happens I would be relatively relaxed in the home game lol
