Not sure you can even blame yourselves as I sense over 90 pts would have got either team promoted in the past? It's odd really that 3 teams have been so dominant this season when the Conference seems to be getting stronger. Although getting promoted is this season's battle, if we're both in Div 2 next season then I doubt it'll be us struggling to stay up! I'm sorry, I strongly disagree with the last part of your post, I believe we would be very strong with the squad DC has assembled, with one or two additions as always over the close season, look at burton, again, and wycombe after last seasons escape, we just need to get the team into that league for me to be proved right now don't we?

was chatting with an old army mate last night (Wrexham fan), he basically reiterated that this league is wrong and it should be 3 up and 3 down, bottom 2 from league 2 down and top two up with the other two (meaning third bottom and third top playing each other). Must admit I said no straight away, but two straight up and playoffs maybe fairer. It will never happen though as league clubs would not accept it and lets be honest if Rovers, Barnet, Grimsby, Wrexham, Aldershot or Torquay were still in the league do you honestly think that any of our clubs would agree to it. If we do not go up as champions then so be it, we gave it one hell of a good go with a new squad and a young manager. The play offs will be hard but we will need to regroup and go for it not let the fact that we are not champions get us down, and the best way of doing that is us! FANS! I have not been to a lot of games this season, personal reasons not political, clearing debts from the pub and now moving into our own home. However if I can get tickets would be at all our play off games.

The league has been too unpredictable this year meaning table positions have meant nothing. It's because of this reason it's been weaker, not because there's been no runaway winner. And we do have ourselves to blame if we don't win it.If the 8 point lead we had on NYD had been more or less maintained, we would be celebrating right now. Plus the fact it's been in our hands the whole season apart from 3 games in August. I think you will find most gasheads will be realistic here. Whoever finishes top will have definately deserved it, if it`s Barnet then good luck to you. We have thrown away 2 goal leads and let in last minutes equalisers to get to where we are today, but as you pointed out above, have really improved as the season has gone on. I can`t say best of luck, I really hope you slip up to be honest, but if you finish top, fair play to you. You will have earned it!

I agree, when we get Sinclair back that will be like a new signing then get rid of monkey and give brown a bit of a rest, he will be retired by end of next season if he has to do another season down the left with him Sign lines and get Easter fully charged and we will be knocking on the door,

We had the opportunity to go top and stay there on our own terms, unfortunately we didn't take it. If Barnet win the league, they will have earned the right to go up as champions. Lets show a bit of class by showing Barnet the respect they deserve if they finish top. Lets not forget they get a quarter of the support we get, presumably a quarter of the budget we make and are surrounded by well supported Premiership teams. They have to scrap for everything they get, it will be a remarkable achievement for them to overcome 'a club of our size' ! Well said. There a few on our forum who are a bit hostile towards you after some arrogant remarks by a minority regarding our attendances/support. It was a few Grimsby fans as well. So any jabs at Rovers are probably because of that. 1 defeat in 27 is it? That's pretty admirable and if you do snatch it, we would only have ourselves to blame. it would be deserved anyway for your form since Christmas and the fact you're in this position even though you only went down last year. I'm silently confident we'll do it though but we'll see. I'm afraid to some of ours just by coming on our forum is enough to get them frothing at the mouth. We failed to overtake you by losing at home to Eastleigh when you lost at home to FGR and then only drew with Macclesfield when you also only drew with someone the same weekend. Those were our two opportunities but we didn't take them, whether you'll give us another chance is doubtful, we have to win our last two games, you can get away with a draw and a win if we don't......of course we could both lose our last two games and you'll still go up as champions ! It's down to the wire......be assured I won't come gloating on your forum if we sneak it, so apologies in advance for any of ours who do.

Grimbsy fans were gobby 2 games ago, saying they were the in form team and were going to win the league. Pressure will be on both sides last 2 games, hopefully they will f**k it up.

That Kiddy pitch looked like they were playing in the car park! Hopefully it can cause aggro at both ends of the ground, an early kiddy effort will send the bees into a right old panic!

We are at that stage of the season where an early goal in one game can have a big impact on another, no better relevant example for us than Northampton and Wycombe both scoring early goals on the last day of last season and putting us under huge pressure. We *could* have seen a similar situation on Saturday had Barnet not scored so early, but an early Kiddy goal, or even if we score early on Sat, would put them under big pressure which creates a very difference atmosphere amongst fans.
