Really want us to win the league, but if it is not us then it has to be Grimsby. Which ever one does not go up has to win the play offs, two real clubs back in the league, and no disrespect to the other clubs.

Disley is a god, why the hell did you ever let him go? Good question, no answer really other than the Manager at the time thought Craig Disley couldn't take us where we wanted to go. In hindsight he could easily have stayed with us and become even more of a legend. Very highly regarded by Gasheads and also by you guys too which speaks volumes for the lad! Anyway back to business, tricky one Monday and your lads will be knackered - ours have spent the day in a luxurious Spa being served iced drinks by scantily clad ladies!! Good luck may the best team win, as long as it's us!

So glad Barnet won rather than Grimsby as Barnet have, arguably, the most difficult run-in. Here's my predictions: Rovers: Finish on 93 pts 35 GD 1st Kidderminster 0-2 Rovers Rovers 3-1 Southport Dover 0-1 Rovers Rovers 3-0 Alfreton Barnet: Finish on 89 pts 45 GD 2nd Dartford 0-3 Barnet Barnet 0-1 Halifax Kidderminster 1-2 Barnet Barnet 1-1 Gateshead Grimsby: Finish on 89 pts 38 GD 3rd Alfreton 1-3 Grimsby Grimsby 2-2 Wrexham Southport 0-2 Grimsby Grimsby 3-0 Aldershot I think Dartford will join them on Monday, they've only won one in their last 10 matches and will be relegated if they fail to win. Should be a easy match for Barnet tbh.

Disley is a god, why the hell did you ever let him go? He is twice the player for you than he was for us. His all round game has improved since Grimsby play him in the middle. He is a real driving force for you where as he was such a lightweight for us. Decent enough player.

Disley has consistently done the business for us. Always did a captain's role. Whatever happens, I hope we keep him on next season. Although he admits to 'popping' down to Bristol for a night out with the lads - fair enough. And it's a bit crazy but we are taking 2500+ to Alferaton and no doubt your away support is pretty strong too. Bigger than most Division 2 teams home attendancesĪ©`

Hate to say it Mr Mariner but we are taking 2650 to Kiddermister......one of our easiest trips of the last few months. Your support is great too, have a good day but loose please!!
Our crowds have held up well in the Conference, I too have enjoyed it & loved some of the trips. Highlights for me Halifax - proper football ground, great away pub the 3 Pigeons and Eastleigh - village team with one pub unprepared for the Gas. However the Football League is where both our histories lie and both clubs MUST do everything to ensure they grab this opportunity this season.
On to Monday, we go again!

Yeah, however, there is a certain quality of non-league football which is quite refreshing. Changing ends at half time - clubhouses that are welcoming. Basically a lot of 'real' football stuff. it's not as bad as we would like to believe really. But, hope we are both out of it next season for sure. We haven't done the ends changing thing once this season I think. Loads of clubhouses have been 'home only' for our visit too

Well, it's been an experience. Real ale (I used to drink lager), nice knowledgeable football people. Strange football grounds - (Dartford is great - a big wooden bloke craved half way through the stand). If we did get out of this nonsense, in a bizarre way I'd miss it. So to Monday it is - all the best - but hope we ultimately win - but whatever. Cheers.

Think we both agree (Grims and us) that we both want promotion as opposed to Barnet, whom no doubt have just as passionate fans. May the best team win. (And you're very welcome to go up via play offs... Teehee!!)

If anyone had offered me this position at the beginning of the season I would have taken it without hesitation, in fact I would have settled for 5th on goal difference with us making the playoffs by the skin of our teeth. I hope that it's the Gas and the mariners in the 2nd division next season. Both would push on to bigger things. If Barnet go up Martin Allen will be offered a 1st division side to manage, he will take it, along with about 4 of his players. Barnet will down within 24 months, Allen will be sacked and by 2017 Martin Allen will be Barnet manager again for about the 8th time.
4 games to go, bloody amazing Gas support and some really tricky fixtures for all. Dover is my fear for us but it is not plain sailing for Barnet or Grimsby.
Is akinde near toting up 10 yellows again? Are yellows carried over into playoffs?
If we could go up as champs on the last day that would wipe away last years final day tears. Just 4 more teams left - let's hope they all take it up the Gas

Makes me laugh hearing barnet fans saying there gona come on our forum and gloat if they get promoted lol.sad sad people lol I think that was a response to the numerous posts on our board ridiculing their support. To be honest I'm not clear on the logic of size of support equating to relative right to be promoted anyway. On that basis Man United win the Premier League every year. Barnet won't win the League but that has nothing to do with the size of their supporter base.
