We deserved to win. Rooney could have had a hat-trick

Why has he been wasted up front all these years he's was picking out passes from 50 yards and still getting into goal scoring positions,it was like Paul scholes come out of retirement

I only turned on for the 2nd half, which sounds like it was the right decision based on the commentary
I thought Delph had an absolute mare, Townsend's goal was brilliant, Kane didn't touch the ball a lot but when he did he was full of confidence and exciting, both sides could have scored more, and Barkley looked like he was getting back to his punchy best
The best thing was that England seemed to play like the Italians - keeping the ball and staying patient, and occasionally making a professional 'intervention'
The following from the Torygraph, which made me smile:
Andros is a good bloke I reckon. Asked by Gabriel Clarke: "It must have been nice on a personal level to play against Italy, of course you were injured for our World Cup match with them and were working with ITV."
"Yeah it was a nightmare, don't remind me. Erm, I mean not playing, it was good working for ITV and thanks for asking me." heh. Good lad.

My team for 2016 in the unlikely event everyone was fit:
--------------Hart-----------------
Clyne-----Jones----Cahill----Baines
----------Carrick---Henderson-------
Sterling------Rooney-------Sturridge
--------------Kane-------------------
The front four could be terrifying, just a shame about what's behind them (barring Hart).

He hates the "greese balls" .......doesn't it just make you proud to be a Rovers fan. I'm sure he would repeat these remarks in public.
