This just sums up how far we have fallen.
How much more do we need to lower our expectations?
Should we all be shouting from the rooftops because we have been struggling and failing to beat part-timers for 8 months?
For me the only plus side is that we aren't losing as reguarly as we have done in the previous 5 years.
Fair play to DC for making this team harder to beat, but the style of football and negative attitude that the team is set out to play is no better.
If DC gets us out of The Conference at the first attempt then, I suppose its mission accomplished, and he deserves a pat on the back and I admire the fact that he's installed a good work ethic amongst the players.
But imo his tactics are a hindrance to the team rather than a positive.
Should we really be happy and singing Bristol Rovers praises because we aren't losing reguarly to part-timers?
The football has been dross

Come on let's be more positive.Hmm.............nice yellow kit uh....We got a point and um well parkes didn't get sent off. Actually Gas have not progressed one bit from the first game Grimsby at home. We still need a creative midfielder a proper winger and two strikers. Obviously our non league manager hasn't realised that yet and we have to be satisfied with a Salisbury City player just when we need a bit of quality. Why do you all put up with this. This is a very very poor Rovers team . Somebody must take over the playing side of this once proud club whether we go up or not. 5 more games with Clarke here is enough for me. The best of a poor squad were those already here before Clarke took over.No. arguments about that is there. Says everything. Gary we are waiting !That'll put the cat amongst the pigeons, coastal. It's controversial if nothing else, and it's quite possible that Gary is (waiting) as well.

Poor pitch ? Really ? One if the better ones. No need to make excuses, it's the same for both sets of players and we should be winning these. It will be play offs. This will turn out pivotal I believe. We have lowered our expectations so much that now we make excuses for this. No wonder the board have it their way. Not making excuses. We have no right to be winning these games automatically, we werent good enough on the day and we move on. Chester Friday, and then Barnet have 2 games in less than 48 hours. Lets see what happens. Fair comment mucker.

The football has been dross I slightly disagree. Our goals v Aldershot were class. We have organisation, dedication and ability across the team. Of course it's disappointing not winning every game, but to put things in context we have a deserved draw against a team that beat Barnet on own turf and lie 4th in table. We've taken 4 points from them. As with Grimsby. For me, balanta offered little today, and should've been replaced earlier. Our class players didn't perform under the conditions today, but if that's our toughest match left, bring on the rest. I think if we are left in play offs, I would rather finish 3rd if can pick a place

Some have said he would be interested but I believe it to be wishful thinking. I can't think of anyone else.

I must admit that I was doubtful if coastalgas was (or is) a supporter of BRFC, but after a post yesterday from (I think) LincsBlue on his behalf, I have changed my mind.

I've seen nothing of support at all. Nothing. Zilch. In fact, when we win Coastal is remarkably silent. So, quite the contrary. Read through postings....it's all negative....so support is a poor terminology. But this isn't a turn on each other thread, coastalgas makes some valid points, but none of them add up to support.

Kiddy now 3 up. Course they hit form now. Was confident of a thrashing over them at 12:30 today.

Very good summary. The main players didn't turn up today - maybe nerves? Very little overlapping by Brown today was disappointing. The one bright spot was the performance by PuddyBUT a point is a point and it could be the all important point Really? Maybe it was just me, but he made a few routine saves, one very good one, but looked dreaful when kicking out and then almost gave a goal away at the end with a poor kick. I would have Mildenhall back in on Friday. Mildenhall would not have put his head in when Puddy did - and when did Mildenhall kick any better? Go back over the games since Mildenhall was injured and he is off form

Puddy's form was superb and was unfortunate to be dropped to make way for Mildenhall for no there reason than he is the senior keeper.

Poor showing today - but still a hundred times more inspiring than most games I remember over the 5 years before relegation. We may go up we may not - either way the club, or at least the management, is finally installing a professional culture and strong team spirit. If we don't go up I'll be optimistic for next season given the start we had this year. Of course that relies on Clarke staying rather than returning to the dark days of short termism and the belief we can just get a 'name' manager in to make everything suddenly perfect.
However if I was Clarke I'd get out if we stay down as I fear it will lead to an increased atmosphere of senseless criticism and toxic negativity from a large number of fans. (evidence of which on this thread)
