Is this an insult diluted, not a whole idiot, just a piece of one? Not sure, ask our mate Tancredi Palmeri There's no really time to relax and take an espresso for Rovers.

Also that shoulder to shoulder contact is allowed with the ball in playing distance; so many of our players were muscled out of the game yesterday, but with the crowd yelling for a free kick. Good point. Whilst I am clear the refs in this league are spineless and weak there is also the fact that there is some lack of understanding on the terraces (myself included) on what is and is not within/without the rules and even a bad ref does not always deserve the barracking they get for some of their (correct) decisions that the terrace pundits don't agree with. Maybe, in much the same way that refs and clubs often get together to have "teach-ins" maybe there is a case for a fans "teach-in" to educate and inform? Some enterprising local ref may wish to assist?

Some enterprising local ref may wish to assist? The problem is one of consistancy. In the first half free kicks were being awarded to Eastleigh all over the pitch, whilst very similar, if not identical (and in the case of Taylor being barged from behind, much worse) contact was OK. Add to that their players throwing themselves onto the ground, sometimes with zero contact, and of course people get frustrated with the officials. The one with the flag in front of the East Terrace also has his own (variable) version of offside. It seems that any random number of Eastleigh defenders between the attacker and the goal constitutes an offence by a Rovers' player? All very odd.

Perhaps you could explain how Taylor could be barged in the back but not get a free kick but when Parkes did the same thing, but seemingly less aggressively, he conceded a free kick from which Eastleigh scored their first goal? It's that type of inconsistency which gets fans on ref's backs then the lack of control of Eastleigh's time wasting adds to the mix.

Looking at the positives for a moment . . . what a terrific goal-line clearance from Tom Parkes, it had 3-0 written all over it, and a thumping goal from Matt Taylor.

Conference refs are generally poor, but on MOTD yesterday a player backed into a defender, then propelled himself slightly forward falling to his knees and got a free kick.

Firstly gotta say Gloucster road is a quelity walk to the ground. Lots of stop off points along the way Could have heard a pin drop. During the minutes silence. Lovely pitch on which we scored 2 goals and you scored 1. You missed the hairy bloke from Salisbury big time yesterday. Very professonal performance from us. We have learned very quickly what is required in this league. Befor xmas we would have drawn/lost yesterday. You never know you might see us again, in the play offs. Bet you cant wait

Bet you cant wait If by "professional" you mean a bunch of big girls blouses, falling about and acting like a bunch of con artists, then yep it was a "professional" performance. However, I came to watch football and we certainly never played any of note and your Jessie's were more interested in play acting. So all in all a poor return for my money. I can't wait to see better opposition than your bunch of failed Oscar nominations on the "lovely pitch".

I can't wait to see better opposition than your bunch of failed Oscar nominations on the "lovely pitch". I don't know why we're moaning about the time wasting, we were warned about the tactics that would be employed by many of the teams in this league all designed to frustrate the fans and sometimes the players. While we're in this league we as fans have to put up with it, however there has to be a way to address this by the manager coaching the players how to counteract it. At the very least surely the senior players and particularly the captain has got to get in the referee's ear early on in the match when it starts happening, be polite but make your point so not to rile the ref. If you listen to rugby captains they do it all the time and can influence the ref's decision making.
