Fixtures for us and Barnet.
Gas Barnet H Eastleigh H FGR A Halifax A Eastleigh **** A Halifax H Aldershot H Welling A Macclesfield A Alfreton H Chester H Nuneaton A Kidderminster A Dartford H Southport H Halifax A Dover A Kidderminster H Alfreton H Gateshead
I cant make any predictions, a month ago I thought play offs, but DC said there was still time to catch Barnet, and he was right. Their game in hand is away at Halifax on a Tuesday night following us playing them on the previous Saturday I think all our games are hard, even Alfreton, when they come to the Mem they will think this is the only time I am going to play here and give it a good go. Away at Dover is just as hard as Macc and Halifax really.
I'm getting tense

Next three for Barnet are very hard indeed! Could do with them losing 2 of them, but won't hold my breath! So long as we do our job right! All that matters.

Relax, Grimsby and gateshead away were hard games What about Eastleigh they could still come up on the rails I believe and appear to be in reasonable form.

If Rovers and Barnet remain undefeated for the rest of the season, but win at home and draw away, we win title by a point Halifax, who have 5 games on us, including Rovers and Barnet(twice) can have a real effect on the top of the table

Come out of the next two games with at least 3 points, we might be ok at the top.

Anyone watch the Eastleigh V Macc game yesterday? That was awful, truly awful.
If we play to our potential with the correct tactics (which only seems to happen in the 2nd half)I think we will go up as Champions. Its ours to lose in my opinion

A real shame Barnet had a comparatively easy ride yesterday due to the very early red card and penalty. Altringham still scored and missed a pen... With 11 v 11 for 90 minutes I don't reckon Barnet would have won.
on paper I think we have a slightly harder run in.
tense weeks ahead indeed.

No different than us against Braintree though?
Halifax could hold the key as they play Barnet twice, us once. All the other fixtures, oddly, seem very similar. Apart from Barnet playing Alfreton when we have to go to Macclesfield.

Clarke said on BT Sport by phone before yesterday's game that 91 or 92 points should be enough to win the title - and I agree with him.
That's another 6 wins from 9 for us. Our final 4 home games should on paper be bankers - if we don't win them against below average/part time sides at home we probably don't deserve to go up anyway. As for the other 2 wins - Macclesfield are there for the taking and they were awful against us a couple months back. If not, by the time we play Kiddie and Dover they shouldn't have anything to play for, other than spoiling our party.
Barnet also need a similar return to ours. I would argue that 7 wins from their list isn't as easy to predict. They could easily drop points from their next 3. Then their next 4 should be bankers. Which will then leave them needing to win 2 or 3 of their remaining 3. At that point the pressure would be all on them when our final 3 are much easier by contrast.
Moral of the story - the next 2.5 weeks and the final 3 weeks will be huge. FGR would do us a huge favour next week.

Apart from Barnet playing Alfreton when we have to go to Macclesfield. Halifax also have almost as good form as us. And if, just like Barnet (but not us), they win all their remaining games they will be guaranteed champions*. *Not saying it will happen, of course.

The away games at Gateshead, Halifax and Macc looked critical as to whether we'd have a shot at the title or not. Lose all 3 and we had very little chance, win all 3 and we'd have an excellent one. I would personally be happy if we took 6-7 points from those 3 games to keep us in the hunt. We've got off to the best possible start there.

Macc and Fish are still very much in it for me I think that Macclesfield are definitely feeling the heat. I watched them play Eastleigh on BT Sport yesterday, and the didn't impress me at all. The televised game up there should be an interesting one, but a neutral would surely go for BRFC.

Agreed they didn't impress yesterday or when we played them Christmas but they're up there as they win most weeks and their run of games look ok on paper. Still a big threat for me

Just want to look at one game at a time - watched Eastleigh v Macclesfield and wondered about the ex Rovers factor impact on us - you can be sure Stanley Pell and probably Constable would love to put one over us. The way the disposed Macclesfield they certainly aren't going to come to us with any fear.
