Really bad news that. I was hoping he could play in the remaining games for us. My Player of the Season so far.

DC said in his post match interview that it looked like "a bad one". Sadly, with 9 games to go you have to think he had played his last this season. Wishing a safe and speedy recovery.

Terrible news if he has done his ACL, hopefully he's done his PCL which would be 3 months out instead of 9 months with an ACL, but knowing what sinclair is like, if he has done his ACL he will probably look to break the record of making the quickest recovery in History and be back for early next season.

My understanding is that his contract expires at the end of this season as do most of the players signed before the season started.

It goes without saying that I hope his injury does not mean he will not play again this season. I'll await the medical report before speculating on his prognosis.

As well as ACL and PCL, there is also MCL (Medial Collateral ligament) which heals the quickest of the 3.

A few years ago I snapped my ACL and tore both MCL's off the bone running into my own Keeper at full tilt. Still managed to climb up the club house stairs to buy a round of drinks. 42 at the time and I was playing again within 5 months of surgery. You do your rehab it's possible to come back earlier than expected, I believe some people heal quicker as well. lets hope it's the MCL if anything.

Do you get any pain from the injury now IE rheumatic stuff or is it totally different in that when it's fixed, it's had no after effects ? My eldest Brother played at a decent level and he was hobbling around by the time he was 60

Apparently he's fit for Saturday! Seems unlikely? Attachment Deleted If he can heal the sick, what's a sore knee to the beard?? Apologies to any ultra-religious types who find this blasphemous - Je suis la barbe!

My eldest Brother played at a decent level and he was hobbling around by the time he was 60 No pain KP, still playing now at 49, 11's and 7's. I would recommend surgery without it your only good for straight line running. Got my side step back now, the knee is stronger than before despite losing some muscle definition. Been playing a bit of mixed netball recently (prob the worst sport for knees) no issues. There are a few options for knee reconstructions , with mine they platted some of my hamstring, drilled through the bone , anchored it in place. Then the bone grows over the anchor...jobs a good un.
