Strong looking squad there, excellent news on the Beard returning, good to see Trotman in the match day squad too. Great seeing the league table on BT Sport with Bristol Rovers top top of the league, good performance today will see us remaining there .....UTG !
Interesting. 5-3-2 with Lockyer at CB, or 4-4-2 with Sincs on the wing? Or Lockyer at RB and Leadbitter RW?
From the little I know about Gateshead I'm predicting 5-3-2, don't rule out Lockyer on the right wing though John Ward played him there!
"the secret is very simple: you have to recognise who really owns the club, It's not the guy who has just come in, it's the supporters who've been there for 100 years and will be there for 100 more" Milan Mandaric - 16/03/2015
Lockyer RB & Leadbitter pushed forward right? Or some other formation to accommodate SS & TL?
I'm quite happy with Leadbetter at right back these days, his extra pace gives us extra options going forward or when required in defence. Tom is good at right back but was found out by Akinola and his lack of pace. Whatever, DC will make the right choice and change it when the moment is right. Interesting to see Dawson kept on the bench
Reckon 4-3-1-2 similar to what worked against Gateshead at home
Yeah defo gone 4-3-1-2 after the success we had with it before, Monkhouse playing as a playmaker in a flat midfield 3 and Sinclair just behind Taylor & Blissett. Brown and Leadbitter will offer plenty of attacking width so good selection by DC, especially with good options from the bench if we need to go to an attacking 4-4-2 later on in the game.
