Thought Simeon Akinola was terrific, he is the best left sided winger / midfielder I have seen this season, IMO would be a great addition to our squad. he had an outstanding gamelast night and played well against us there but whats he been like in the other 35 games?

A player with pace and trickery will only end up on our bench, may as well leave him to help pick up points against our rivals.

I think he's the sort of player that would enjoy playing on the larger/better pitches, a bit like Haldane. I can't imagine him being too effective on their own patch, or away at Halifax or Dartford. Having said that, he did remind me a little bit of Carayol or Bolase from the red half. Perhaps a little inconstant, but look where they are now, could be worth a punt? which bit is that? The kit they were wearing made them all look a bit like Haldane tbh

Not in terms of ability or skill perhaps, but in the way that arguably Haldanes best two games for us may have been at the Millennium Stadium and at Wembley, when he had some space to exploit.

I thought their number 17 Bernard Mensah was as good, if not better, not really surprising when he scored against FC Porto only a few months ago I suppose; But he's on loan from Watford.

No idea what he's been like all season but he was superb last night. Looks like another Muzzy and he'd be straight on my shortlist for this summer if we go up or not. Peterborough in particular but Millwall, Brentford and others have been delving into the conference market for hidden gems for years so why not do the same? He looked like the bees knees so if he's been regularly playing to that standard then sign him on.

excellent technique and good pace ..at 22 and experience at Boreham Wood and Harrow Borough looks like Braintree have a diamond on their hands.

he was great tonight but dosnt mean he always is that good! Precisely - reminded me of that Shrewsbury winger at Wembley (Derek Asamoah?)- never heard of since that game yet we all thought he was the dog's bo**ocks at the time. Derek Asamoah currently warming the bench at Carlisle after traveling the globe in search of success!

Think we have got a few hidden gems ourselves from the Conference this season - Puddy, Leadbitter, Sinclair, Taylor, Blissett all done us proud so far! Plenty of others who could make the grade. I like Young, Ives and MacDonald at Torquay and I think it was Marshall and Maynard at Halifax.

Former Rovers trialist Andy Yiadom is having a great season at Barnet and with the England C Team. If we get promoted this season i can see DC raiding plenty of conference clubs for there best players, it beats signing football league journeymen looking for there next pay cheque.

Only 23 starts from Braintree's 40 matches so far - and he was subbed off in 11 of them.....something not quite right there??

Plenty of players down here capable of playing in the leagues, it'll be interesting to see what our transfer business is like whether we go up or not.
