As Chewbacca says, that's not compensation, that's just an exchange of goods. Yeah we would get 30 million, but Sainsburys would own the Mem.

My apologies didn't read it right, but that shouldn't even be an option in that case, any over £15 million and they may as well, buy the land to sell.

Don't select £0 you fools! The judge will read this and realise that he's seeing the thoughts of the most informed people concerned in the case with the finest analytical minds and just bl00dy well agree!

Nothing in compensation, but an enforcement of the contract and legal costs................please.

In all likelihood, fulfilment of the contract + legal expenses or contract null and void and no case to answer to. Obviously we would all prefer option one, but Rovers never seem to have that kind of luck!

Voted 1-5 million. If we get the favour of the courts then we will push for compo on what we have lost due to the delays also the materials that would be more expensive now than what they were before. I think if the courts gives us the go ahead with the stadium we will, with good reason, also win the compo claim too.
If they offer compo to settle out of court, I wouldnt be surprised that our board accepts as low as 3 million offer.

I am quite confident that sainsburys will be made go ahead with the contract they have signed, they are just trying it on and hope that they get lucky, after all they can afford it 30m is peanuts to them so when they are made to pay I will celebrate by cracking open a bag of dry roasted

Intwresting how many have picked nothing..
What are people basing that on. I am not confident we will win and even if we did i am not sure we would get the lot as i could see some compromise judgement being made.
Nothing is probably the least likely outcome, although knowing Rovers.... Is that why people have picked zero

Thanks for the votes. I still think that we will settle before it comes to Court and that implies something around the £1mil-£10mil mark. We have no bargaining strength and a 'sh*t or bust' £0 or £30mil conclusion is too scary to contemplate. As for the people who think that we will be able to enforce through the £30mil sale of the Mem - great to see such positivity. Even if we do win substantial compensation / enforce the contract - the UWE seems dead in the water. Has there been ANY announcement from them in the last 6 months or so? If they were still supportive - why haven't they said anything? I've heard from a couple of sources that the UWE got cold feet as soon as the rugby club sold their soul to the devil. So where does that leave us playing then? Twerton Park? Welcome back to The Golden Fleece and Greasy Joe's burgers...
