Maybe he was not "privy" to the type of mag his telephone interview was for ? Yeah right, the bloke who won't even discuss if tea or coffee is drunk at meetings with Sainsbury's, due to 'confidentiality clauses', suddenly thinks it's a good idea to open his heart to some geezer on the phone without even bothering to ask for a copy of the publication or investigate its target readership? Oh, hang on, I see what you did there, humour. Very good. Did not read anything in that article that i had not heard before

It was probably the first time NH admitted there was a shortfall in funding, plus he suggested he wasn't staying around much longer?
If the income streams from the UWE are so good why haven't we got investors lining up to meet the shortfall, clearly we haven't or NH wouldn't be seeking finance from Bahrain, unless it's a v. clever ploy to put Sainsbury's Qatar shareholders off the scent!!

as usual monstermouth - you speak before you read properly - 'new stadium and associated assets' meaning a new 'state of the art' stadium plus all the associated benefits (look at the plans and see what comes with the stadium!) -and if you live in south glos - it is not out of town and with train and road network nearby a very well positioned 'stadium' (arena) with easy access to south wales and all of england. In the right hands a potential money making machine - believe me there are already several interested parties. It's too easy to say believe me. No one will say what they think they know. Then there is the disinformation placed by club mice who lurk on here. Do you seriously believe that no-one is following this saga waiting to pounce when the time is right? How often are stadiums granted planning permission in this part of the country? with the potential to also put on other leisure activities which attract good audiences(income) Unfortunately all those waiting may not be football fanatics!

We'll receive what the judge awards...if it's more than £5million we'll have something left over once we've paid off the debts. Why would the judge say, yes, Rovers are right, the contract is valid, and then not enforce the contract? Or are you talking about the damages for delay Just an informed opinion. Damages would be a separate issue to the contract where the judge could possibly rule on the implications/costs incurred by delay if Sainsburys is found to be at fault, however for this to be an issue we would have to show funding is in place to complete the stadium build...I very much doubt we can so do.

Remember your comment in June/July monster I'm so old, addled and decrepit I can't remember what I posted yesterday but if you remember what I said 8 months ago it must have been fairly powerful.

Ah, My mistake as I took it that you meant several other interested parties that would be looking to put money into the club. I did not take it that you meant interest in the stadium alone. I apologise mate. I thought that the stadium was specifically tied into the football club, because of the naming rights and lease. I didn't know that A.N Other could carry the plans through as the club have paid for the plans and all the rest. I guess we just have no choice but to wait and see.
