Arrived too late for the Doom Bar - but Thatchers and Blackthorn on tap was a pleasant surprise. Maybe the press would like to take note of how well we travel in numbers and in good humour...

Its good to read compliments like this. I personally didn't find bar service that bad especially compared to Eastleigh and Woking - O'Neills in Woking had one bar man working his socks off for a while serving hundreds of Gasheads who had arrived at the same time on the only direct train from Bristol. Eastleigh employed 2 staff to serve over 1,000 Gasheads - needless to say I didnt get a drink all night at the Cricketers in Eastleigh.
Ivy Leaf was a decent friendly pub with a good selection of beers so an enjoyable experience (shame about the football really but we are used to watching sh!te games!). No offence to Ivy Leaf or Dartford but I hope we won't be visiting next year on the basis we will be back in the football league but I'll definitely be returning if we are playing Dartford next year.

Afternoon Bristolians (?)
I'm a Darts fan and sponsor and was around the Rumpy café/Orange Tree pub area a couple of before the game. It was great to chat football with you and I hope you had a good day out.
Apologies for the pitch (never seen it like that before in 9 years but that's weather for you !) Despite it, you tried to play it on the deck and you didn't resort to huge timewasting like so many other clubs do.
Glad you liked the Ivy and on the basis that I never saw any aggro you would be very welcome back next year although I suspect we will be back in the Conny South league playing Bath mind and you will be back in League 2 where really you should be.
Ryno our number 7 (Darts legend for nine years now) has never scored a free kick quite like that one before and it was overdue. Mind you , we were at the other end and didn't see it as well as you guys as we'd normally have moved round at half time ! A point each was fair I think at the end of the day.
Hope you do go up. I'll be back in Bristol for my old bosses annual BBQ in August.
Thanks again.

We got in the Ivy Leaf early and think the staff did a great job considering the numbers that came in. Nice pub with good selection of beers and welcoming staff.
Let's hope the boss gave them a bonus out his bumper takings
