I understand Stuart Sinclair is out for 3/4 weeks with a hairline fracture in his foot. Awful news on top of Ollie Clarke expected to be out for the same period after injuring his knee at Woking.
Our midfield now very thin on the ground. Might have to ask Monkhouse or Gosling to do a job alongside Mansell but expect DC will stick with Tom Lockyer in the holding role allowing Dan Leadbitter to come in at RB.
Need some cover quickly!

On a positive note hopefully this will encourage DC/NH to definitely sign a replacement this weekend

A player like oster at Grimsby would be perfect Gateshead? Agree he looked class at the Mem, but not going to happen IMO.

Luke Young at Torquay would fit the bill of a young ambitious player. They have had a few offers, wonder if one was from DC.......?

Telford had a big guy in mid-field (away) who couldn't shoot for toffees but everything went through him in their mid-field and my Stoke supporters guests commented how we could do with a fulcrum like him.

If this is true then we'll sign someone without doubt. I think we'd have signed a central midfielder even if Sincs was fit to play this weekend as we lack creativity in there, but the matter becomes 10x more urgent now our engine room has lost its engine.
If we want to give ourselves the best possible chance of staying in the promotion race it is imperative we bring someone in.

When Sinclair is out more often than not we don't play well.
Gosling in centre mid? geez he wouldn't have a single bit of dirt on his shirt even if he makes it to 90 mins

I agree than Parkes would be a better bet than Tom Lockyer in midfield. Either Lockyer or Trotman could easily slot into the back 4, however I remain hopeful that a decent offer might snatch Luke Young from Torquay on Monday.

Good job we have not been playing much lately or we would have injured players eh?
