If Gateshead lose tomorrow I can see us taking 1000+ on the 28th, and for those of you who think I'm talking sh1t I said we'd take 2000 + to Woking and that was scoffed at and ridiculed I can't see us taking more than 500/750 as it's an hell of a distance from Bristol, that's assuming it's on the 28th as they are still in the Trophy and also there home ground is usually frozen or waterlogged during Jan/Feb. Macclesfield should be OK as their away end holds 1900 but why don't they plan ahead and allow room for a further 500 somewhere in the ground, just to be on the safe side?

And don't forget the 20 blokes who have booked their flights to Newcastle for the weekend of the Grimsby game probably won't make Gateshead now....

we would not have got 2000 fans at Woking if the game had been all-ticket. Not everyone is able to plan their lives months in advance. I went to Woking, but I didn't know I was going to be able to go until Friday night. Work commitments, or even bad weather might have prevented me going, as it was I didn't have to work, and the weather was OK. Woking caused the problem by insisting on segregation for this game (when they don't usually bother), and this always leads to empty spaces. the problem in the Conference is that clubs want the revenue that bigger clubs bring, but are not organized to cope with it. At Nuneaton they tried to keep those of us in the stand to one block at first, then as more and more fans came in realised that was pointless! The support for the last two away games has been fantastic considering both grounds were at least couple of hours away from Bristol. It looks like up to 1000 may make the long trek to Dartford too. Conference clubs need plan for large numbers of travelling fans, it shouldn't be a novelty - Luton had a big away following last season.

One important point not raised yet is why should Rovers with less staff now we are a non league side spend time and effort selling tickets for opponents they get nothing for providing this service.
Plus it is inconvenient for many fans to get to the Mem to buy tickets especially as we have few home games in Feb.

How will we cope when we are pushing for promotion to the Premier League
