Just back from the game. Very frustrating. We were the better side, but didn't create very much. Two goals disallowed for offside - the second one clearly was offside - not so sure about the first. Very few clear chances (I don't actually remember any!). Hoof ball was the order of the day. Whenever we brought it down we passed it to the opposition or to no one at all! No one deserving of MoM, although Parkes and McChrystal looked solid at the back. Midfield pretty ineffective. Taylor/Blissett OK, with the service they were given (ie very little of quality). Didn't see much of Easter when he came on. Harrison up to his usual standard when he came on. Other than the support, not much to write home about really - but there you go. At least I haven't got to drive all the way back to Brizzle! Can't disagree with that. I did think that for such a large number of Gasheads we weren't very vocals. Bonus points to the Burger Bar that didn't seem to run out of food despite the large numbers Lose those bonus points for the terrible toilet facilities. Despite a reasonably new looking stand, the toilets were two portaloos!

The atmosphere was dog s**t. The ground was a shambles and I fear we'll be 8 points behind barnet after they beat southport next week

Decent day out. Took the opportunity of the Hospitality which included great seats in the new stand. Terrible game, little or no quality at all. Woking performed much worse than they did at ours, and were there for the taking. Taylor first half goal was onside, the ball came to him off a defender, hence the prolonged protest. The game cried out for width and pace, we had neither. The thing is, if we go up playing like that, we will be back down in the first season. Its a pity, after watching Barnet at home I thought we could kill teams like this.
As always we dominated the ground as supporters with 50% of the gate and about 300 locked out allegedly.

I doubt it if we were 5 pts clear like Barnet? Whilst DC keeps signing strikers you do have to wonder if he should be looking to liven up the midfield 4. Hopefully Dawson will be similar to LDV, but surely NH needs to stretch the budget to sign an experienced midfielder as back up. well done u for saying what I've been saying for the past 2 months! Yes I know our midfield is solid but we need a creative ball player in midfield!!!! I'm grateful for a top striker in Easter coming in but we still need that link man. The beard isn't that but with out him today our energy and drive from midfield was poor and I think, especially after 45min darrel should have put monkhouse in the center and Dawson on the wing cause Lockyer has been playing RB all season and it was a lot to ask for him to switch to midfield today! Tinker man darrel had choices today and for the first time in a while he got it wrong especially when he had such a strong bench

Tinker man darrel had choices today and for the first time in a while he got it wrong especially when he had such a strong bench The problem is that a creative ball playing midfielder won't slot into a 4-4-2, DC is an attacking manager, but playing someone like Alan Gow or Chris Lines in a 2 man midfield would be a risk and an attacking step to far. I think the 4-3-1-2 will be used alot more with Matty Taylor, Monkhouse or Dawson in the hole, and a front 2 of Blissett/Taylor alongside Easter. If Ollie Clarke has a bad injury then he may be forced to go into the loan market for a midfielder as i don't think Lockyer is the answer in there. The loan window shuts in March and i think if anyone else has to come in between then and now it has to be a more attacking minded midfielder.

Prior to today's injury to Clark DC's indicated the only other signing will be a defender, I assume Trotman or his replacement, not sure playing somebody in the "hole" will improve matters as surely that gives the team even less width? Let's hope Dawson can give us the width we need.
Anyway surely against the likes of Dartford & Braintree we could cope, defensively, with a Lines type attacking midfielder? What's CL up to these days?

Interesting to note (given our goal scoring record thus far) that Maccelsfield are the only team that can currently catch us on points with the game(s) they have in hand and then we could still be ahead of them on GD - depending on them not scoring more than 3 goals. So we still have our noses just in front but it's tight. and Maccelsfield are part-time No, they're full time

Credit to Kevin Betsy yesterday by the way. Took the inevitable dog's abuse all afternoon and made a point of coming right over to applaud all the travelling fans on the side and behind the goal at the end

The atmosphere was dog s***. The ground was a shambles and I fear we'll be 8 points behind barnet after they beat southport next week Always is when we're in an open terrace. No surprise to me that it was quiet yesterday. Had our terrace had a roof, it'd have been a different story. As for them beating Southport next week, they'll be strong favourites for sure, but have you checked some of Southport's away results this season? Derby 1-0 Southport Kidderminster 0-1 Southport Woking 1-2 Southport Gateshead 1-1 Southport Nuneaton 2-3 Southport Braintree 0-2 Southport Grimsby 0-1 Southport They will be no pushovers for Barnet.
