Perhaps the long mid-winter lay-off hasn't worked in our favour? It makes you wonder how on earth Sinclair sustained such an injury, as to make him unavailable for selection. it's our away form we have to worry about - too many draws

now only 5 points and 17 goal differences behind The Haircuts. Not ideal, but not a backward step either

Another point gained on them, but what a huge chance missed that is!

unbeaten run continues, clean sheet, gap now down to 5 points, can't win every week important we didn't lose today with 2 weeks until the next game, a good day at the office.

Still wondering why he put Harrison on and not the new winger??
Good chance to see what he could in the later stages of a game we ideally, needed to win! I think Harrison has had his time now, darling of the blackthorn end but for reasons I'm still trying to figure out.

I would say a reasonable day at the office. A good day would have been the 3 points. However, that's maybe splitting hairs ( not that I have that many to split)

Interesting to note (given our goal scoring record thus far) that Maccelsfield are the only team that can currently catch us on points with the game(s) they have in hand and then we could still be ahead of them on GD - depending on them not scoring more than 3 goals. So we still have our noses just in front but it's tight.

Ellis is a smaller version of Blissett, an awkward player who is very hit or miss, i spoke to someone at the game who said it was crying out for someone with a bit of technical quality, Ellis reminds of Chris Zebroski in that he has zero technical quality. It's a shame Dawson didn't come on DC got that one wrong, Dawson only eligible for 4 games and the first one he doesn't get on with another 2 week wait until the next.

We've lost only 4 games all season to barnets 8 but we've drawn 12 to their 5!!! That's whats costing us I'm afraid

I think a decent mix of drawing and winning games is good for us this season, imagine if we would have lost 8 games at this stage, I'm not sure DC would still be alive and Box 1 would probably have been burnt to the ground!

I doubt it if we were 5 pts clear like Barnet? Whilst DC keeps signing strikers you do have to wonder if he should be looking to liven up the midfield 4. Hopefully Dawson will be similar to LDV, but surely NH needs to stretch the budget to sign an experienced midfielder as back up.

Just back from the game.
Very frustrating.
We were the better side, but didn't create very much.
Two goals disallowed for offside - the second one clearly was offside - not so sure about the first.
Very few clear chances (I don't actually remember any!).
Hoof ball was the order of the day. Whenever we brought it down we passed it to the opposition or to no one at all!
No one deserving of MoM, although Parkes and McChrystal looked solid at the back. Midfield pretty ineffective. Taylor/Blissett OK, with the service they were given (ie very little of quality). Didn't see much of Easter when he came on. Harrison up to his usual standard when he came on.
Other than the support, not much to write home about really - but there you go.
At least I haven't got to drive all the way back to Brizzle!

There's little point in backing an originally flawed judgement, with overly enthusiastic praise. Still, a point is a point, is a point, eh?
