Grimsby's Palmer looks a good signing on loan from Mansfield. As I type this he could've perhaps had two more haha. Non league Andy Carroll anyone?

Didn't expect us to do much in these last 2games anyway - now those thrown away points will bite us on the run in, Brfc - their title to lose now... pgbee Posts: 444 Joined: 08 Mar 2011, 20:56 disilusion setting in!!!

Still have a few tweets saved from barnet fans, who felt the need to send me a copy of the league table after we beat them at the Mem end of November!
Hope we get up there asap and stay there! Barnet really haven't showed anything in this game at all! Potentially Two losses and a draw in their last three games, have their asses gone or what?!

Martin Allen is known not to have endurance. He blows his load far to early then it all falls away after Christmas. Look at Cheltenham, look at Gillingham. The fact is the guy tries to rule by fear and anger which has an initial motivational quality before people realise that the guy lacks any tactical substance. Lets hope 'Mad dog' stays put as he really does lose it spectacularly in the long run.
He's not a good manager. The Harry Redknapp of the conference (and that's an insult for those supporters of the face that gravity is stealing)

Well it's not really but the momentum has certainly tilted our way in the last few weeks. My hope is that Martin Allan runs his players into the ground. The guy has a record for coming into a club and making an excellent start before tailing off - you wonder if that's partly because he doesn't let off his players and after a while they stop responding (Cheltgas beat me to it!). Getting with in 3 points would be a good psychological barrier to break I think so let's hope we're well up for it this afternoon.

This is where I feel MA could lose his dressing room as he will surely lay into his team after in a way only he can - that can only work for a while and after the last 3 games might be wearing thin now

He will lose the dressing room, he'll begin to move on the players that won't take his abuse and then his teams become unstructured. He was very lucky to get Gillingham promoted, in fact, the first half of the season was really a result from the players and momentum from his predecessor (Herr Hessenthaler), come Christmas he fell out with a few players and replaced them with the Matt Lund type of nothing player.

I watched the game on TV this afternoon and thought that the result was a fair one, but an excellent one for BRFC. It's just so frustrating that we haven't been able to take advantage so far by scoring against Woking.
But at least it's still 0-0, and Easter is on.

MA did get Gillingham up but we've no idea what DC is like under pressure? Our best hope could be MA jumps ship, or their Chairman decides to cash in on Akinde whilst he can get a top price for him. If not the fixture list does look kind to Barnet who could well open up an effective 9 pts gap again next week. If they can then hold that until 10 games to go that will be an hell of a gap for us to close. You sense drawing today as given them breathing space when we could have really turned up the pressure.

Barnet were shocking yesterday. Now with 2 losses and a draw from their last three games. Struggling to believe it is they who have been sitting top of this division for as long as they have. Especially after we beat them (and deservedly so) at home at the end of November! As one of their supporters said on twitter, they have looked a completely different team the last few weeks and not for any good reasons!
