It's a fabulous accolade but the trouble is with football it can sadly change the other way so quickly and he could be hounded out of the town next year !!

For the record, it was 24th November 2001 in the third tier (as shown on the video). Just under five years before Rickie joined Rovers.
The commentator wasn't a bad judge when he said that this young man has a great future ahead of him.
